Skinsfan1311
Played with the sous vide again. Ribeyes vacuum packed with a little salt, pepper, Mrs. O'Leary's Cow Crust, and seared off on Old Faithful. Sides were roasted asparagus w/sauteed cherry tomatoes & rice. Didn't bother with plates pics because I was drunk, and starving.  The leftover tomatoes are excellent, in omelettes.  6

We're more of a mustard fan for Reuben's but I will make their sauce for a Reuben sandwich later this week (the reviews were great so I gotta try it). I made 4 egg rolls & just kind of eyeballed the quantities. Cooked at 20 minutes - was perfect.  We have a Tom Leondard's here in Richmond that sells all Boar's Head products sliced to your preference for $7.99/lb. Have to buy a LB. We do that & use the meat & cheese for various meals. Saw this recipe & figured it was a keeper for the next couple of weeks.  https://www.curiouscuisiniere.com/irish-egg-rolls/ Edited March 16, 2020 by EmirOfShmo

EmirOfShmo
Since happy hours have been put on hold, we (the Royal We) have been doing more cooking at home. I cooked split chicken breasts on the grill tonight using The BBQ Bible bourbon brine. Cooked indirect at 375 for about an hour. Also cooked/smoked some fries - boiled whole, unpeeled russet potatoes for 6 minutes, sliced in wedges, oiled & salt/pepper. Then put them on the grill (indirect) for about 20 minutes. They needed about 5 more minutes to get full crispy but they were awesome. Might be my new go-to for grilled potatoes. Also broiled some broccoli & tomatoes with garlic & fennel. Some leftovers for Tuesday lunch for both of us. Corned beef & sauerkraut for dinner tomorrow for St. Patricks. Which I had some Guinness to go with it....

Pairs nicely with the kraut. 1

Voice_of_Reason
 sous vide beef tenderloin (with a hard sear) with broccoli on day 1 of lockdown.  Perfectly medium rare. Melted in your mouth.    1 pot chicken thighs with mixed veggies and rice on day 2. Actually saw this on Instagram by Chef Michael Simon.  He’s doing a recipe a day with just easy stuff to make from whatever you might have in the house.  It’s pretty good stuff.  (no picture) Kicked up meatloaf in muffin pan day 3. This was much better than expected.  Fill each muffin tin on the bottom with meat mixture, put a layer of cheddar cheese, then top with more meat mixture.  Makes individual size portions.   (No picture) breakfast for dinner, pancakes, eggs, sausage) day 4.  (No picture) Grilles chicken thighs with hoisin/garlic sauce and rice say 5. I vacuum sealed the chicken with marinade and let sit in fridge for 2 days.  Really tender and really good.   Homemade pizza from scratch day 6.  Tonight is salmon. I got a beautiful pice if salmon I’m going to grill on a cedar plank.  Yum.
skinsmarydu
I'm not on Instagram, but I love Michael Simon, he's a genius. Is there any other way I can get to those recipes? I'm marinating a seriously beautiful sirloin now, the biggest decision is what to put with it...I've got damn near anything to choose from.

LadySkinsFan
I don't remember if I posted this, I bought a new grill pan with a removable handle. That way I can grill on the stovetop and finish in the oven. Tonight is a pork chop with BBQ sauce.
