Johns Bass
The Washington Times' Zac Boyer with this story on safety Phillip Thomas. Thomas made his first-career regular season appearance last Sunday. Well, they should be getting these young guys out there and seeing what they do or do not produce. goskins10
Hail Johns - I agree. get them all out there. treat this as 7 weeks of training camp. Do some situational substitutions but otherwise just let them play. Sit Chester and let Long and if it's Compton (he has played OK, better than plumbs but not sure he is long term solution), play him or rotate him with Moses. Put LeRibeus in at LG. Put Thomas in and sink or swim with him. It's too bad Redd is hurt. It would be good to get him a bunch of carries and save the wear and tear on Ams body. Move Hankerson and Robinson to #1 and #2 at WR and see if they can handle the workload. It's simply to see if they can play. If not, let them walk. You will save wear and tear on Garcon and DJax, less chance of injury in a wasted season. This will not be popular, but Merriweather has actually been pretty good football. He has been flying around, making some big plays but not getting penalties. He may have settled down finally. Just saying. Just a few kind of random thoughts. Johns Bass
Fines of the week - Well let's see: Terrell Suggs (Steeler)_ $8,268 for an obvious late hit from behind to LeGarrette Blount to his knees. Courtney Upshaw (Raven) lost $20,000 for roughing the passer and striking the quarterback late and in the neck area, Darrel Young fined $22,050 for an illegal blindside block. Seyi Ajirotutu (Charger) fined $27,562 for making contact with an official. Well, it's pretty easy to see that Youngs infraction clearly outweighed the others substantially. WTF, REALLY? Actually, 3 other players have been fined the same amount for the same infraction this year. But it does seem somewhat out of proportion. DY also had some comments in 2011 about how fines were affecting the game. link: http://washington.cbslocal.com/2011/10/11/darrel-young-fines-are-changing-the-game/ link: http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2014/11/07/chargers-ajirotutu-fined-for-contact-on-official/18661475/

Last year it wasn't even an infraction. And the hit was not the bad. He could have really laid the guy out but backed off at the last second. It was little more than a friendly tap in terms of what he could have done. I am not a conspiracy theorist by nature, but **** like this really makes you wonder, if he mostly guilty of being a Redskin.
