Cooleyfan1993
You could bring in Jesus for a tryout; the defense would still be clueless. that doesnt make any sense. of course they would be clueless, its freakin jesus!!! jesus is the best out of anyone in the world! any defense would be clueless trying to defend jesus for crying out loud!!! it would have made more sense to say "you could bring in (insert worlds worst QB ever) for a tryout and the defense would still be clueless"

DM72
I assume it's to help the defense figure out why they can't seem to defend against mobile QBs. Bridgewater, Foles, Wilson... Bridgewater really isn't a mobile QB. Dude really isn't all that fast either. Leave a hole open, he can pick up a first down, but he's no Vick, Wilson or 2012 RGIII. GOGOheadray
It's always smart to evaluate a position which is not solid yet. Unless you have a qb named P.manning, brees, rodgers, brady, or luck then you can afford to at least evaluate whats out there.

Romo isn't fast either but his scrambling ability is solid. I think this is more about the conditioning of the linebackers and the secondary when it comes to a QB that is able to scramble around out there for 7-8 seconds. Rufus T Firefly
Teams bring in players for tryouts all the time. This is as close to a complete nothing story as is possible.

Rufus T Firefly
Yes. Because the trade deadline was last week. It doesn't matter. Because they're Redskin QBs, they'll let us trade one if we really, really want to.
Momma There Goes That Man
I think it just means don't get ****y. Don't just say you're the franchise QB. Prove it. If he is really wasting his scouts and his own time doing this just to send a silly message to our QBs, I think we have larger problems
skins island connection
I think Gruden said he liked RICHARD Pryor, and the scouts brought in this guy instead, beaming with smiles on their faces thinking they did a good job. If they can ever get the Greyhound logo surgically removed from Silas' head, he could play the mobile QB spot. If Gruden is firing a shot across the bow, then he's having Tampa Bay flashbacks, and we'll see Allen stumbling outta the locker room with a bottle of gin and a flay swatter yelling goose....goose...goose.... TD_washingtonredskins
I think teams try out free agents all the time. We had Mo Hurt and Tim Hightower work out also. I would assume this is not news or they are looking for Pryor to contribute at another position.

When did he come for a workout, and why? Not a big deal, just curious, that's all.

Pedro
Because they run a different style of offense than we do. What are you going to do, have RG3 and the offense abandon their practice so they can run a style of offense in practice to mimic an opponent?? To add, don't our #1s go aginst the #2s (Robert plays our system against our #2 D, our D starters play against our #2 O who can try and mimic our opponent)? Cooleyfan1993
http://httr4life.com/redskins-tryout-14-players-including-former-rb-tim-hightower/ oh so he was a part of the tryouts on tuesday then. cool, always liked the dude. in his first regular season game with the team, i believe it was against the giants at home in 2011, he ran for 2 TDs, and both TDs he got, i posted in the gameday thread "TIMMAAAAAA!!!". (south park reference). i remember how hyped we were that we had him on our team. man, that didnt last very long did it.
