Taco Bell Posted November 3, 2014 Share Posted November 3, 2014 The part that sucks the most is how pivotal that MIN game truly was for this team. If we won that game, we'd be at 4-5 with the bye before Tampa, much of the outside criticism to die down thanks to the victory, with Foles out 6-8 weeks, Dallas losing, 49ers starting to implode, and either the Colts or Giants to lose tonight. I mean, that game yesterday was pivotal. All we can hope for now is Haslett to either have another do or die stretch of better D, for RG3 to put it all together with no more room for error, or both. We still aren't out of the playoff picture until we get another loss. But of course, losing makes you feel worse about the overall situation, so going in to the MIN game I was more confident than I am now, obviously. In 8 weeks Gruden and staff has completely turned around one unit on this team that has been an utter disaster. Special teams went from being an Achilles heel up until and through week 1, with some more blunders in the early weeks, to what I would almost consider a strength right now. Forbath nailing FGs. Tres Way absolutely bombing punts...that one out of the endzone, after the boomer that was negated due to penalty, was awesome...Coverage has been night and day (still some mishaps but not near what it had been). Roberts has been, average with some moments of really good. Overall I feel like it went from the worst unit in the NFL to at no worse an average unit. Hell, Id say they are a B- unit at this point. S.T.real,lights,out Posted November 4, 2014 Share Posted November 4, 2014 To me the way we have been playing the season reaks of same ol skins. Best the really bad teams. Get embarrassed in prime time. Win a game we pretty much have no business winning. For once i would just love to see consistently out of our units. Obviously with the changing at qb it's hard to do one O but we surprisingly have been pretty consistent on that side of the ball. Special teams seems to be improving. But still the same story as prob the last 3-4 years with the d. So with that being said, the Dallas game was unbelievable. But other than that I have not had much fun.
