DiscoBob
Back when Cerrato was still with the skins some folks hired a truck to drive back and forth in front of Snyder's house with a Fire Vinny sign...that might work...
Commander -JB-
I agree. The Redskins were just outsmarted, outcoached, and outplayed by a pathetic team with a rookie QB. No pressure. No blitzes. Just as I expected from Jim Haslett after the Dallas game. Horrible defensive game called. pathetic team? You mean like the Redskins? Sticksboi05
Umm...the victory over Dallas will be a distant memory if performances like today end up being the norm. And lets be honest, the game against Dallas was won because romoSUCKS in general is cluseless against the all out blitz, he immediately panics and tries to spin out of danger. The reason so many weird things happen against division opponents is because they are very familiar with each other. They are often trying to out-smart each other because they are so well scouted due to playing them twice a season, every season. A lot of things that apply to those games, don't apply to non-division opponents. End up being the norm? Where have you been the last 5 years? Haslett should've been canned ages ago. How he survived this offseason is incredibly telling about how this franchise is run
DC9
First step, especially in a bye, would be for the Redskins to hire a "defensive consultant".
Commander -JB-
I've never been a Haslett fan & disagreed with his play calling, however, it is ok to start "Fire Haslett" talks this week but don't dare talk badly about RG3? Especially after that 4th down pass? If it was a blown defensive call late it's "Off with Haslett's head!" But RG3 stinks it up on the final play & it's "He'll be fine"? Cmon
DC9
Yeah sorry. I meant my guy Spanos. Multitasking at work & autocorrect don't always work the way they should. Please LORD!!! He's an LBs coach right now with the Titans, though. UCLA obviously misses him.
Cooleyfan1993
pathetic team? You mean like the Redskins? do you really feel the need to point out that we are a pathetic team? we all know we are...no need to tell people something that we already know I've never been a Haslett fan & disagreed with his play calling, however, it is ok to start "Fire Haslett" talks this week but don't dare talk badly about RG3? Especially after that 4th down pass? If it was a blown defensive call late it's "Off with Haslett's head!" But RG3 stinks it up on the final play & it's "He'll be fine"? Cmon i think griffin will be fine. he's only had 2 full games this season. he needs these last 7 games to prove that he can be the leader that we know he can be. just my opinion though. Boss_Hogg
Bringing back Lou Spanos makes too much sense. Therefore it'll never happen.
RhodeIsland Ave
My hope for Griff is to remain healthy the entire 2nd half of the season. Play every snap, improve his pocket awareness. If he does that, then the rest is on the FO to improve the coaching staff, and the OL.
BleedBNG
Norv is undefeated against skins since Snyder fired him Yeah, he's not so bad as long as he's up in the booth.

DogofWar1
Who was it who had the van that we were going to use to kidnap Brandon Banks and Danny Smith with? Might wanna rev up the ol' girl and put her to work saving the franchise. Then, Ryan, Spanos, Phillips, I'm not particularly picky among those 3. Though I will say if Phillips made our defense really good I'd get a little extra joy out of beating Dallas.
Voice_of_Reason
Gruden absolutely wont hire Rex Ryan!! Rex is to boisterous and is like his father. Once he's been a head coach there is no way he can go back to being just a coordinator. It will cause division just like Buddy did in Houston and Chicago! They won a SB in Chicago.I'd take Rex in a heartbeat over Haslett and id trust jay to manage the situation. First step, especially in a bye, would be for the Redskins to hire a "defensive consultant".How about the father of our TE coach who goes to all the games anyway?Umm...the victory over Dallas will be a distant memory if performances like today end up being the norm.Been the norm for 5 years. nfl guru
Jim Haslett shouldve been gone 2 seasons ago. For him to survive 5 years in DC is unreal, we will look back at this era and wonder "How?" one day

Gizmo 3squire
Haz has to go, and you can see it on Grudens face he was just as appalled as I was. He looked just like Chucky after a dismal loss, (one eye bigger than the other and all.lol) He's horrible and inconsistent, and has been since he's been here. Offense did a fairly good job keeping points on the board, the defense absolutely failed yesterday.

Skinsinparadise
I think the mere sending of letters to the front office might make a difference if there is a tipping point, its a pretty unusual feat as to a fan base being that upset at a coordinator so it would be hard for me to imagine they wouldn't notice

kleese
Over his tenure here Haz has "earned" the right to be terminated. The defense hasn't been very good overall, and I certainly can't make the case that he's the best man for the job. Therefore, I support his removal after the season. Having said thst, no one, and I mean NO ONE brings up the changing landscape in the NFL where many many defenses get torched weekly. Big Ben has tossed 12 TDs the past two weeks against two teams that many consider contenders in the AFC. Seattle, the standard bearer for defense in this league, has given up 24+ on multiple occasions this year. QBs theiugjout the lesgue are putting up video game numbers on a routine basis. People like the Chargers right? Anyone see what Tannehill did to them yesterday? When you factor that in with our extreme lack of talent at safety (they are hoerrendous) and our injury issues this year, I think Haz has done a solid job this season--- with the second half yesterday being a big black eye. But the D played well enough for us to win the previous several weeks. Like I said, I think we can do better there. And because of that, I am fine if and when we release him from his duties, but I do think context is important here and the context right now is that offense rules the day in the NFL right now. bedlamVR
I am with DC9 bring in a defensive assistant ... Like the afore mentioned Mr Philips .... And see if his input can add some sparkle ... It is one thing being on the sidelines supporting his son but would be an entirely different thing to have him in meetings and practice having an official role on the defense . I am sure Haz is a nice guy but his inability to either correct mistakes or make adjustments is painful at this point . When the defense can be stifling at times and none existent at others it kind of points to coaching and scheme What was dissappointing this week was no matter what special teams or the offense did it must have been demoralizing to see long drive after long drive given up by the D.... It also has to be said there are and were good individual efforts by players on D but if fhey are not in a possition too suceed then they will always struggle . That's down to the guy calling the shots.
