DM72
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, uhh..your opinion, man. I think our record over the past year and a half kind of backs him up. We beat Dallas, now let's try to put the same kind of effort into beating Minnesota.

Fergasun
Good job to Diana on the scoopNFL Network talking about this. Won't he have an extra week to recover, does that factor in? Why are they saying that he's not 100%? Let's all just forget that 2012 happened...
S.T.real,lights,out
Not really because NFL.com reports source is Diana. I sure hope she's right because I want Robert back this week. But I don't wanna get my hopes up too early.
Skinsinparadise
Now Evans said RG3 played poorly in the Jacksonville game before he got hurt -- if I needed proof that he will hate on the dude no matter what, got it with that comment
Dan T.
UGHHH!! Flashbacks to the Seahags playoff game and all in for week one.... Except it's not the Seahawks, it's not the playoffs, it's not week one, and it was a different injury. But other than that, spot on.

Yeah he's a boob. How many concussions did he suffer as a player?

Momma There Goes That Man
I think it's fairly obvious he was ready to go at Dallas they just didn't want to put him in that spot for his return. I didn't have much doubt that he would come back this week. He's not coming back unless the coaches and trainers think he is ready, so he must be. We can really stop brining up tired Adidas commercials and the Seattle game But looking at the Romo conversation after MNF, Romo is praised for gutting it out etc and comin back even though the staff didn't want him to. He's a "warrior" and the same with Rodgers. Griffin is our starter. He doesn't need bubble wrap or be 200% to play. This place is the only spot I know where fans of a team don't want their starter to play if he "can" much less if he is actually cleared as 100%...just because, you know, I guess he might get hurt or something

Vegas started with us being favs by 1.5 and last I saw we were dogs at 2 - 2.5 It will be interesting to see how it fluctuates now that the RG news is out. I still think we are better than most every one gives us credit for. Vikes will be a tough mental challenge for us... are we going to stay focused, are we going to stay hungry, are we going to play mad... we shall see
AZDave
Why do People think Colt should go if RG III is healthy? People are wild on here. It's like the Cousins people fled that ship and boarded a different one It’s quite simple, as an old fan this is an old story played out through the years as far back as 1972 (that’s as far back as I remember). The only difference is the names have changed. Redskins fans have always liked the backup QB: Sonny-Billy Joey T.- Jay Schroeder Jay Schroeder-Doug Williams Doug Williams-Mark Rypien Rypien- Humphries Rypien- Gannon Schuler-Frerott-Green Brad Johnson- Jeff George Matthews- Ramsey- Wuerfifel (My Favorite) Brunell- Campbell Grossman-Beck Forgive me if I forgot a few. The only difference is the names have changed. Redskins fans have always liked the backup QB We could have Brady or Manning and we be saying it’s time to bring (Insert Name Here) to get experience because they are getting old. The scary part of this list is whether you want to admit or not Robert has more talent than all them. He needs to play

Darth Tater
So even if healthy we should sit our starting QB? At 3-5 who are we to think we're so good that we can beat another team without putting our best players on the field? I'd even go further. Given that we just beat a 6-1 team (and were a 4-1 team ourselves when we got beat by an atrocious Rams), we should know better than anyone that there are no gimme games. Anyway, if we are better than our record, isn't there a chance that the Vikes are better than there record. Isn't there also a chance that our victory was just a fluke and that we are just as bad as the Vikes? Also, NOTHING beats game reps for getting back into the saddle or growing your game. Next, while the probability that we run the table is very small, this is still a must-win game and you only think about sitting a healthy starter when the game is totally meaningless. Finally, the Redskins are a money making organization and they are obligated to field the best product they can week in and week out.

He wasn't spectacular on Monday Night. He made some good throws but DJax bailed him out of a lot of under thrown balls.

ejay183
UGHHH!! Flashbacks to the Seahags playoff game and all in for week one.... Both of those are not close to being the same. The Seattle game, Griffin started and finished 2 NFL games before going down in that game and everyone knew he wasn't 100% healthy. The Week 1 game was a QB who missed all the offseason workouts/practicing and played after a shorten recovery time. This time Griffin has had all the offseason workouts & practices, the normal recovery timeline for this injury & was close to starting Monday night.
