gortiz
I cringed when I saw that. Only Tony Wylie. so did I, i was like, "typical." There are ways to handle things. He could have been a little more diplomatic and a little more aware of his surroundings. Now the jerk is a meme.
Sacks 'n' Stuff
Tony was PR man of the year or something once upon a time so he must be able to do the job. Then he came here and gets orders like, "This small newspaper sad mean things about me. Crush them with my money."
Boss_Hogg
I can't believe that buffoon is trending on twitter.
CrypticVillain
If last night's game leads to Tony Wylie losing his job, that's an even bigger win! (I know, I shouldn't joke about people getting fired, but Wylie will find another job and I'm pretty sure his pockets are straight so whatever. )
abdcskins
It was strange all around. Came immediately after the awkward MNF interview and the failed Gruden/McCoy handshake/hug.
autoidiodyssey
OP, why are you talking about this after THAT win? Try to enjoy one of the best wins over Dallas ever for more than an hour before complaining about something.
Jandre002
Did you guys not see how aggressive that reporter was being? He was grabbing onto Colt and wouldn't let go.I am guessing that Tony declined an interview with him, but he snuck in anyways and tried to force Colt into talking with him.It was embarrassing that we actually heard him say that, but I don't blame him for shooting down an overly aggressive reporter. Dan T.
Dude has always treated me & my wife great when we see him at out of town games. He gave us pregame field passes both times we saw him in the STL hotel where the Skins were staying. The second time he was headed out the door to go to his Mom's house, stopped, went back to his hotel room, and came back with a handful of passes for us. Too bad he wasn't on national television when he gave you those passes. Because he was last night, and it wasn't pretty.
Dissident2
I have no problem with what he said. What's the big deal about "no means no"? The only issue I have is the way he treated Colt like some little kid, pushing him like that. That was annoying and off-putting. If I was Colt, I would've stiff-armed him. I couldn't care less about him embarrassing the media, but don't embarrass our QB who just beat Dallass in Jerry World.
Chachie
I cringed when I saw that. Only Tony Wylie. What a moron. Was the reporter trying to date rape Colt?
LaxinFish29
Guess I'm in a minority here, I really don't see this as a big deal or embarrassing.
HOF44
Looked like a local crew. Other than Network or NFL affiliated reporters you are not supposed to have access to a player after the game until a designated cool down period in the locker room. That reporter was being an over aggressive dick, he knew better.
Skin'emAlive
Much a do about nothing. Redskins won in a spectacular fashion, so we better find a way to throw the team under the bus. People are a bunch of suckers these days.

autoidiodyssey
I thought Colt did a TV interview right before that with ESPN? ESPN probably gets an exception because it is MNF.
Laxpunk2006
This seems like any excuse to complain about our FO/Management. The reporter didn't schedule an interview prior to the game and just tried to latch onto Colt. Do we really want him out there accommodating any reporter that shows up with a microphone instead of heading back to the lockerroom with his team? The reporter was out of line and should be dealt with. I'm sure it was awkward for Colt but I doubt his feelings were hurt that Tony had to physically pull him away from the reporter. Slateman
Wyllie has to have dirty pictures of Snyder or something. He is not well liked by management.
roanoker
The incident did seem odd to me. Nonetheless, the way the PR had a mancrush on the cowpiles pregame, it didnt bother me that they didnt get an onfield interview after the game. Hail4Life
That was such an awkward dick move, even my 96 year old grandmother saw that and said "what the hell was that all about?".
Corcaigh
Not a big deal, but a senior PR guy should be able to choose his words better so he doesn't come across as a douche. Because that's how it appeared, even though it was the reporter who crossed the line.
Coach Janky Spanky
The Wylie episode from last night was just another example of what's wrong with this organization. I don't mean to use hyperbole here, and I understand that it might sound like I'm exaggerating. But if slightly altered my opinion this week of Snyder based, in part, on a post I read here a few weeks ago. The conventional wisdom is that the Redskins have sucked for so long because the owner has his hands in the football personnel cookie jar -- the Malcolm Kellys, Haynesworth, Archulleta, This list goes on. I think Snyder's changed the way he works and has really minimized his involvement in football personnel decisions. But he's still hiring the senior executives who run the organization -- the people like Tony Wylie. I don't think it's about money anymore or Snyder being cheap. I wouldn't be surprised if Wylie is very handsomely paid. It's about Snyder having terrible judgment in hiring executives. Honestly I really don't think the "no means no" episode is a big deal. But it was completely unnecessary and it made the organization look foolish. I was with a few people who had no idea who he was, and they were just really confused as to why someone would act that way.
Hooterman
It's interesting that so many commenters in this thread assume that TW handled this inappropriately. Guys/gals, we don't know any of the facts at all that lead up to this happening. Without those facts we have no idea whether it was appropriate or not . Find out the facts, then pass judgement. Hail Em Up
FYI for all posters who think Tony is the second coming of Satan. LOL http://www.tmz.com/2014/10/28/redskins-pr-guy-i-had-a-good-reason-for-rushing-colt-mccoy/?adid=hero7 The Washington Redskins PR guy who rushed Colt McCoy away from a live interview with ESPN Deportes tells TMZ Sports there's a good reason he hurried the QB -- he didn't want Colt to miss the coach's postgame speech. The interaction went viral -- with the Redskins PR guy famously screaming to the reporter, "NO MEANS NO!"We spoke with Tony Wyllie -- the Senior VP of Communications for the Skins -- who tells us, "We wanted to get Colt in to hear coach's postgame speech."He adds, "I wasn't denying access. I wanted Colt to hear coach talk. I felt we needed to get him inside."Wyllie says, "Right after the speech, Colt went out and did the interview. I explained the situation to them. They were happy in the end."As for the contentious moment, Wyllie says, "Normally we set these [postgame interviews] up before [the end of the game]. They'll say, 'This is who we want to talk to.' They didn't do that."
Corcaigh
So it would have been impossible to say ... " Colt needs to get to the locker room now. We'll be back in a few minutes"? As already stated, not a big deal, but it appeared unprofessional and aggressive on national TV. If that's what Wylie was aiming for he accomplished it. If he was aiming for a different impression he could work on his behavior. He states ... "They were happy in the end" ... except national TV didn't get to see that. A PR guy should be perfectly capable of telling a journalist to go **** themselves but do it in a way that doesn't ruffle any feathers.
