Guest SkinsHokie Fan
..... for any Redskins/Hokies fan. Those of us on this board that are in this situation are gonna be basketcases this weekend. This Saturday November 1st, Virginia Tech hosts 2nd ranked Miami in Blacksburg. Last time these two teams met in Blacksburg VT was a failed 2 point conversion from taking the game into OT. This year's Hurricanes team comes in allegedly vulnerable but still looks as good as ever with players such as K2. The challenge for VT is will it respond to the ass kicking it took in Morgantown 10 days ago? Hokie nation waits the answer saturday night. Then less then 24 hours later..... Our beloved Redskins travel to Dallas to face a team confident in its abilities and playing some of the best football it has in 4 years. The Redskins come in with turmoil plauging the organization and a star qb that is one play away from being out for the season. Will the Redskins rise to the challenge? This is gonna be the most nerve racking weekend for those of us who cheer for both these teams. Both the Redskins and Hokies have something to prove and if they both win this could be one of the greatest sports weekends ever for me. If they both lose..... well I am not gonna think about that. I'll be at the "walk" saturday afternoon by Lane Stadium then inside it saturday night to provide the most electric atmosphere in college football. On sunday afternoon my ass is gonna be in front of the TV yelling or cheering and hoping for a Redskins win. Hail the Redskins Hokie High!

On Saturday I will be attending the Oklahoma/Oklhahoma State game and then later that night making the trip down to Dallas for the game on Sunday. I have been living for this weekend

Guest SkinsHokie Fan
Troy I will be looking forward to the Fridge's visit to Blacksburg next year. Maybe he'll finally get over the hump next year.... but probably MD will be competing for 4th in the ACC just like anybody else not named Miami, FSU or VT. Guest SkinsHokie Fan
Oi I hate that, we beat a team you lost to argument. Every year VT crushes UVA and Maryland got crushed by them last year. So what have we now? Absolutley nothing. I am just gonna be a basketcase this weekend or an incredibly happy sports fan sunday night
Joe Sick
SkinsHokie Fan, I'm here in Richmond, feeling the same stress. Trying to figure out if I should go to the Miami game or not. Here's hoping for a VA football fans' sweep! PS-Troy Fakeman is just what I'd expect from a Maryland fan! They are now second place in post-game riots to WVa. Pick up the pace, Terd Fans! Regain your rightful throne as worst collegiate sports fans!
Symbol
Don't care about the college game, but I have a big game tomorrow for my high school team, hopefully my team won't choke out our season at home. Then Sunday, it's beer and the Redskins.
Tommy-the-Greek
I took next week off from work just in case. I know how I get after a loss to Dallas and if we lose this Sunday I don't want to have to go to work for a few days. I got a really bad feeling about this game. Sure I keep telling myself anything can happen. I also keep telling myself we have no pass rush and our secondary is hurting and I just shudder. Our "D" doesn't scare anyone except the Redskin fans. Now they arent even healthy, and Dallas is comming off a humilating loss. I don't believe Spurrier has a magic wand and can make everything all better with an extra week to prepare. Here's to hoping I am dead wrong:cheers:
BayouBrave86
Hokies=Pussies, scheduling out of their game against LSU next year to incorporate an extra home game to fund for the recent expansion!? WTF? LSU is going to be hella good next year, 2 top 5 recruiting classes in the past 2 years. In Death Valley, the Hokies would be tiger bait! Guest SkinsHokie Fan
26-8 warpath braves But regardless both sides agreed to it. I dont feel like rehashing the arguments about the whole LSU issue. But most Hokie fans were just as pissed about it and are still calling for Jim Weaver to re-instate the game by increasing the ticket price. 2 top 5 classes? Ask Texas how much top 5 classes mean. I'll take the classes VT has had and look forward to a damn good ACC debut. As for this weekend. I am sweating bullets
BayouBrave86
Haha HokiesFan, Im just messing with you. I was just really looking forward to the game next year because I plan on attending LSU. And I went to that awful game last year. I still have nightmares about that punt return for a TD by Davis that was called back by an illegal block in the back call. Ughhh. Oh well, yeah I know the Va Tech fans were just as pissed, but seriously, your AD is a *****. Next year both of our respected teams should be in the TOP 5 at the beginning of the year, it just sucks they won't play each other. That is why I am praying for a bowl game against you guys this year.
GrapeApe
Tech won't be top 5 anytime soon unless they show they can knock off a top 5 team this weekend. I think the media has caught on to Tech and their "scheduling for success". They are a good top 20 program, but not a top 10 program until they show they can beat a top 10 program (FSU/Miami). Personally I think they can win. They have to make sure they catch the errant Berlin balls. There will be at least five of those. Payton won't beat them with long runs, but they can't have him chew up 5 yards every time he touches the ball. And they need to watch Payton on passing routes. He can do more damage there with little dump off passes. They need to find a way to stop Winslow. A lot will depend on Berlin in his first real hostile game and whether Randall has really learned from last year and settles down quickly.
jbooma
I do feel sorry for all the Hokie fans. This was their last chance of getting to the big game. Once they are in the division with Miami, FSU, MD, etc... they will always be either 3 or 4. Even if they beat Miami and run the table they still won't sniff the sugar bowl. If only Beamer put in Vick while Randal was struggling.

Joe Sick
Here is how you keep people from getting hurt after the game. Just take the goal posts down! (Notice that a school full of engineers is the first to figure it out.)
