ExtremeSkins Staff
Signed by the Redskins on Thursday, Matt Veldman said he's an "all-around player" who can be moved around easily in an offense. View the full article
TheyAreBack
If one of the Tight Ends serves as the backup for the FB we can comfortably carry 3 tight ends, since we already have 4 on the roster I am not sure why he was signed; unless there is unknown a problem with one of the others. Johns Bass
Hail TheyAre Back - Â I didn't quite get it either. They still have Caussin. Like you said - maybe an unknown problem. The only other thing I can think of would be that they are leaning towards 4 TEs. Then Matt & Caussin are fighting for the PS. Â They played DY at H back the other night - quite successfully. He can definitely be that Hybrid TE/FB. Paulsen can be the backup FB - he's done it before for blocking, not great at running it from there but Veldman isn't going to fill in at FB. So yeah, 6 TEs right now confusing. Â There's some health concerns in the secondary - boning up there would seem to be a priority.
deepball1
he's an all around player. Good. Maybe he can play safety.
