Long n Left Posted December 2, 2021 Share Posted December 2, 2021 (edited) This is going to be a big year for Evans. He needs to make big decisions on Turgeon and Locksley. It could be time for him to put his imprint on Maryland athletics. Turgeon has never turned this program into an annual Sweet 16 contender, and Locks seems to be losing his recruiting edge. I don’t think Locks is a good X’s and O’s coach, and if he isn’t bringing in top 25 classes, he has zero chance to be competitive in the toughest division in college football. Evans, IMO, needs to build these programs better. Time to spend cash, and bring in a Fickell, or Campbell for the football program, and a big time basketball coach. You’ve got an all timer coaching the woman’s basketball program, time to match that for football, and the men’s basketball program also. His last three classes have been severely lacking. Reese looks like he has some potential, but the only two others left from those classes are Scott and Hart, okay players, but squad players, not big-timers. The death knell for me was not getting Dickinson, a kid who played HS ball 15 minutes away, and him going to Michigan, and being one of the top freshman in the country.
