My wifes thinks it's my fault this week's game is now 4 p.m.

Okay, the schedule says 1 p.m. Plans were made for Sunday after 4, she knew not to make these plans for before 4 and then again not too close to 4 because we could have OT. But somehow she thinks I have control over the NFL to change this game from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. I said, it's not my fault, it's the freakin' Cowboys fault (her fav team). If the Cowboys would have sucked like predicted then the NFL would not have cared about the Skins-Boys headlining their double-header game. Blame them not me. She still thinks it's a conspiracy and I am somehow responsible purposely sabatoging her social life. Oh well.

She's not a real fan anyway so she could care less if we missed the game because of these plans. She barely watches football so she wants to keep these plans she made for us. She is going without me. Not sure she realizes it yet, but she is definitely going without me. Funny thing is though, and I'm not sure she realizes it, the husband of the couple we made plans with is a diehard Cowboy fan so using the "other couple is counting on us" as some sort of leverage to get me to go is not going to work -- not that it would have worked anyway.

I still have some hope that I might even get a ticket to go to the game here in Dallas and tailgate with Blonde. (If my wife askes, Blonde is actually Bob. No she doesn't go on this site).

Anyway, I'll be hearing about how I screwed up her plans because of the NFL changing the schedule for about three months and living in the doghouse. Lucky for me the doghouse has a 35 inch TV.

You rule MarkPSkins.......hopefully the Skins add an exclamation point to your day on Sunday and pull out a victory. That's the type of dedication I love hearing from fellow Skins fans. :dallasuck

Yeah, I am still yet to run into someone who said "Damn, I really wish I had gotten married earlier. I really blew it."

I mean, I don't want to start a whole thing here...cause it's gonna happen eventually...but...oh man...

My wife, bless her mean self, knows that on Sunday she is a widow:D

Usually I go over and sit with my dad all day. He is in Maryland right now so I was home watching the games yesterday. She came in sat down and smiled, I got really worried. She was just happy to have me at home. I thought she was going to say since the Redskins aren't playing maybe we could do bla bla bla.

I am very lucky. I only watch Pro Football and College Basketball, she understands but doesn't really believe there are other fans like me out there, she is coming around though:)

I feel for you Mark.

Don't miss this game :silly:

(Looks around. Scanning nervously for members of opposite sex who tend to come in right when conversations like this get into gear. :silly: ). Well, as it has been explained to me many times, ahem, according to the rules it's always the man's fault. When in doubt, remeber that. They'll let us know when it's not. Otherwise, accept that it's the man's fault. Or something like that. :silly: Good thing we're in charge huh? :D

Bob?

Hey. Ask anyone at Hogfest. I can pass for Bob.

Works for me.

So, you get to buy the beer.

;)

Blondie

Oops. I mean Bob

Mark, you have to make it clear that SUNDAY, not just during the 'Skins game, is off-limits.

I have literally not changed my Sunday routine of going to church, going to the father-in-law's house, and watching the game on his 50 inch TV in 10 years and if it gets broken, I throw a fit.

My wife knows this. Your wife should know this. :)

Mark P, you have some explaining to do to your wife. I found this article.

WP: by Gary Gnu

The NFL has changed the time of the Washington Redskins/Dallas Cowboys game on November 2nd from 1pm to 4pm at the request of a fan named Mark P. Skins seen on extremeskins.com.

It is believed that this request was made just to annoy his wife for no apparent reason. When the NFL agreed, a huge smile appeared on the face of Mark. There was even a little evil laugh included.

When confronted as to why he would do such a thing, he stated, "She is going without me. Not sure she realizes it yet, but she is definitely going without me." We asked Mark what could have been so horrible that he had to contact the NFL to do him a favor so he could get out of plans that were planned by his wife. Again, we got a big grin and an evil laugh when he said, "Does it matter? It is Sunday during the fall and those days are meant for football. There are no other plans. Apparently, the NFL front office agrees with me."

Well, for any of you guys out there that needs an excuse to get out of "plans" made by your wives on football Sunday, apparently there is a group out there that is more than willing to help you out. But how do you people live with yourselves?
