bubba9497
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=1647328 It will be interesting, when the Washington Redskins return to work this week, to see how well the coaching staff has resolved some of its differences. Last week was certainly one of the most tension-filled weeks in quite some time at Redskins Park, although owner Dan Snyder was calmer than most outside reports would indicate. But late in the week, there was a pretty good battle between head coach Steve Spurrier and one of his assistants. The two vented on each other pretty well. ... Maybe the poster formerly known as ASF, got to Spurrier about Helton?
SlobberKnockinFootball
Something that we thought Spurrier didn't do. Is to lay into a coach for poor performance. That's a good sign believe it or not. It atleast shows that our skipper has a pulse. If people aren't performing there should be some accountability. Riggo-toni
Could the assistant named have been Edwards?
Tarhog
I'm guessing it was Helton. One of those 'I'm not going to be an NFL failure because your boys can't keep my QB on 2 feet' kind of conversations. Just a guess though.
codeorama
I think there's a lot going on behind the scenes that we don't know about. Spurrier is not the kind of guy that airs his laundry in public.

Edwards is a former player for Spurrier, he wouldn't go at it with Steve, it had to be a veteran coach, and special teams are getting better. Helton was upset over Bugles consulting the OL. and somewhere I read, Spurrier made a statement the Asst Coach will like it, if they want to or not comment after being asked how the other coaches handled the idea. Dexter's Better
I believe in Spurrier. -- Let me repeat. I believe in Spurrier. I think that Spurrier is slowly working over Snyder so can have more and more control (Johnson was Danny/Vinny's choice).... Spurrier will get this thing turned around. I honestly think next year is where it will all start. This year is the dress rehersal.

Luca Brasi
The best thing that could happen for Spurrier is getting Helton out of town. I'm not sure that Bugel would even be interested in coaching again, but that would be a huge upgrade for the coaching staff.
prophet
Those who know SOS would know that he has always laid into asst coaches for poor preformation. It has also been rumored that SOS left UF because the AD would not let him fire his DC jon hoke.
Phat Hog
Well, as long as SOMBODY got their ass reamed… I think we are on the right path. Coaching hasn’t been great this year.
Gamebreaker
All of them should've been yelled at, the whole coaching staff has had games where they were totally outcoached.
