jbooma
Mike Stock was going over film about the special teams play last week. He noticed something that Jackson did and wanted to talk to him about it. He then asked one of the players where he was, the player responded, "Coach he was cut a couple of hours ago!" This is not good when players are getting cut and the coaches don't know There is another article in the NY Times quoting a player that Spurrier opens every sentence with let me see with the owner We should make a show called Survivor Park, and every week vote off one of the coaches or star players :paranoid:
jbooma
If we play like we did buffalo against Dallas, Spurrier is gone I have a feeling

GB81
http://www.nytimes.com/2003/10/23/sports/football/23SKIN.html This article is unreal. (And I swear, I'm taking a hostage if I hear another f**king "The media is out to get Snyder" excuse.) This is indefensible. Snyder IS THE PROBLEM. "The Redskins' special teams coach, Mike Stock, was analyzing game video with several special teams players, telling defensive lineman Ladairis Jackson what he did right on a play and what he did wrong. Finally, one of the Redskins spoke up and said of Jackson: "Coach, he's not here. He's been cut." The players realized instantly that Stock did not know it. They believed Coach Steve Spurrier, who was reportedly also in the meeting, did not know it, either. We have a head coach who starts sentences off with, `If it's O.K. with the owner, I'm going to . . . ' do this and that before he talks about his actions and cuts, a head coach who doesn't know about players already cut, and now we're bringing in consultants in what is supposed to be his area of expertise," said one Redskins player who spoke on condition of anonymity. "How does that not negatively affect your other coaches, especially the coordinators, when you hire consultants in the middle of the season?" Unreal. It is hard to figure out how this team will succeed while Dan Snyder is still involved.
Troy Fakeman
I really think we should start picketing outside of Snyder's residency....WE CANNOT FIRE SPURRIER...Do you know how stupid our organization will look if we fire ANOTHER coach? What player wants to learn an entirely new system???? God help us, and God help the Cowboys in 10 days...LaVar is on a mission..

Spurrier has made some curious decisions and some definite mistakes...but the fact remains--he has won at every level. Now it appears that Daniel Snyder's meddling will prohibit him from realizing any success in Washington. If Snyder f*cks up this season like I think he will, I would seriously consider picketing outside his house...
Troy Fakeman
GGB81, I am dead serious...we could like....drink 30 packs, go and picket all day on Sundays...with huge signs....I think it is a great idea....think about the media attention we would get...and how f*ing stupid Snyder will look internationally.... I really think we should do it...if he keeps acting like "Darth Snyder"
GB81
I"m in. If this does happen--if Spurrier does not at least finish this season--we need to do everything in our power ro get Snyder to sell. If this plays out how I think it will, this team will never be successful under Snyder's ownership.
PCS
Right now.....who knows what's going on in the Park? There are stories all over the place. Funny thing is, there's just enough info to peice together a story that makes the authors point, if you are willing to accept it. there's also enough contradiction between the stories to convince one that nobody really knows what's going on. That's life in the fishbowl known as The Washington Redskins. I remember all those years ago, when Joe Gibbs was called to JKC's place after his 0-5 start. Local media was slow to catch on but needless to say, Gibbs was gone, I seem to remember something like that). Hell, Gibbs thought he was gone. Come to find out sometime later that Joe was JKC's guy and wasn't going anywhere. Vote of confidence if you will. The battles between Beathard and Gibbs became somewhat legendary with JKC apparently having to be the tie breaker. Rumors have it it came down to a decision between Beathard or Gibbs, (Whew). Just imagine how that would play right now with all the information we have available. The Net, 24 hour sports as big as it is now, ect... Little quotes here, little info there, and bang a story(s). How many times have we abused the media on this site and accused them of not knowing what they are talking about? That they don't know anything more than we do? Bash them for an "unnamed source", "league official", and so forth. How about that article about S.S. being tallked out of retirement? Or how Jansen was all but gone? Now, with the team dropping 3 and things not looking good as of this past Sunday night, it's time to say: "Well, seems to me like they got it right this time". Facinating. Consultants? OMG!!!!!!! OH...wait....everybody does that. Snyder leaked it!!!!!!!! Did he? Or perhaps maybe that because it's Bugel and the Redskins it just happened to make the news. Hassleback????????? Effin Snyder!!!! Oh wait. S.S. asked for that. Ect..... Not saying that there aren't any troubles right now. Obviously there are. However, only people who know for sure are those guys in Redskins park right now. Simply put, it took some epic head butting and battles and long hours in the office for the Skins to hit their stride under Gibbs and Beathard. Then Casserly. S.S. is in the middle of his second season as coach and 1st as a coach taking a more significant role with personell and as the HBC. There's going to be some growing pains to say the least. Now, being that I have no idea what really is going on, Snyder could very well fire S.S. or S.S. could quit tomorow. Or he could stay till next year or the year after ect.... and life will be good. No matter what happens, some of us will be right and some will be wrong and it'll be just a matter of a lucky or bad guess. The media included. * Memo to me. DRINK DECAF! Because I'm not completely in denial...and it seems pretty clear. IT IS TEAM POLICY THAT SNYDER IS INVOLVED IN PERSONNEL DECISIONS. This is not the policy on all other NFL teams--sorry, not even the Cowboys any more. (Al Davis does stick his nose in somewhat often, but he has the distinction of being a successful AFL coahc--something Dan Snyder cannot even come close to claiming, at any level.)
