bradboyd80
The East is definitely a toss-up. I would have to go with Philly at the moment since they looked extremely good with Foles starting. And if Dallas ever figures out how to properly utilize the talent they do have, they have a real chance as well. Then, if we make the right moves in FA and the draft, I believe we have a chance to be right there as well. The Giants are the only ones I think don't stand a chance. pjfootballer
If Seattle and SF are battling it out again, you can't have both St. Louis and Arizona as a wild card. 4 division winners and 2 wild cards, to only 3 from one division can get in. 88Comrade2000
If Seattle and SF are battling it out again, you can't have both St. Louis and Arizona as a wild card. 4 division winners and 2 wild cards, to only 3 from one division can get in. I changed that to as Arizona and St Louis fight to crash the playoff party. I could see the NFC WEST have all 4 teams .500 or better. Actually, if the NFL expands the playoffs iin 2015; then you could have all 3 wild cards from one division. That would definitely be a killer division ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------. Here's my original post for this thread. USA Today was already previewing for 2014. Today, they previewed the NFC. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2014/02/03/nfc-outlook-issues-free-agents-draft/5194407/ They will preview the AFC tomorrow and I'll add that. My Early thoughts on 2014: NFC West The 2 best teams in the NFL: Seattle and San Francisco should be battling out again. Right now both of teams should be favored to meet again in the NFC Championship. They will have a little harder time this year as both Arizona and St. Louis fight to crash the playoff party this year. NFC North Minnesota will be rebuilding. It should be a 3 way battle between Green Bay, Chcago and Detroit but I really don't see any of those 3 teams knocking out Seattle of San Francisco. NFC South This should be very competitive divsion this year. Tampa Bay is the team most likely to be like Kansas City this year and go from awful to good. Atlanta figures to bounce back. I think this will be a 4 team battle for the playoffs where the worst team might only be 8-8. NFC East Only the division winner will be making the playoffs. This division will still be the weakest of the NFC. It's a tossup as to who can win this division. Odds are it will be a battle between NY and Philly. I think the Skins are year way from a playoff run and Dallas will continue to be mediocre. AFC EAST It should be Pats by defaults. I really don't think the Jets or Dolphins will really challenge and both of those teams could be looking at new coaches in 2015. Bills will continue to suck. AFC South It should be the Colts by default. Houston, Jacksonville will be rebuilding with young QBS. Titans maybe can be .500 AFC North It should be Pittsburghs or Ravens by default. Browns are probably 2 years away; if their owner isn't in jail. Bengals will be crashing this year. AFC WEST I think the west will be battle between Kansas City and San Diego. Yes, I am going on the record now to say the Broncos will miss the playoffs with a losing season: 7-9. That Superbowl Loss hangover will be brutal and Peyton will show his age. Right now, I say the winner of Superbowl 49 will be either Seattle in a repeat or San Francisco.

jflow78
Superbowl 49: Broncos over Seahawks Wow, these guys really go out on a limb, huh? I love when reporters pick the same teams to go to the SB, as if it happens all the time. It just tells me they have no creativity. Honestly, you can't think of ANY teams that MIGHT beat out those two. I mean, if you really think one of them is good enough to get back into the SB then great, but both? Sorry, just a dumb picks. This guy also picks only 2 new playoff teams (one from each conference). AFC - the Chiefs are out and the Ravens (the previous SB champs) are in. NFC - the Panthers are out and the Cards (a 10 win team from LAST season) are in. It's like this guy has never watched the NFL before and just knows the Ravens are usually good and the Cards were great last year. How many times have teams ever made it back to the SB, let alone the league having 10 of the same 12 teams in the playoffs the next season. Dude, get some balls and predict, even if your prediction is way off, at least you tried, but his is just lazy.

eaglesfandan
IMO, i see no way Philly wins the east. They are going to take a major major step back. Why? Not saying they won't but I would love to hear your reasoning behind it, and if it is because Jacccson is no longer there I'll remind you that even Redneck Riley Cooper had a career year in that offense. If Maclin stays healthy (Big if there) I don't see why he wouldn't have big number too along with Zach Ertz who will play a bigger role.
Taylor703
I could see any of the teams but the giants winning the East honestly. No disrespect to the giants fans we have here but I think they're in for a major downward spiral that leads to a coaching change. I think the odds are in the eagles favor to win the east though. Riley Cooper had a career year because Djax was taking the defense with him, leaving Cooper with mostly one on one match ups.
