I can't wait to hear about this tomorrow. Republicans bash Obama's ideas and proposals while offering nothing new at all. Unless you consider cutting taxes, cutting spending on things that democrats like and shutting down the government if they don't get their way something new.

Oh here's something new, republicans are apparently against NSA spying. Imagine that. The group of idiots who spawn the idea are suddenly against it because the guy from the other party is using it how they laid it out. Group of dolts.

Obama might be an awful, lame duck president but republicans are the head **** ups in town.

The next time someone will pay attention to the SOTU is when one of  two following things happens.

1.  Jan/Feb 2015 and Jan/Feb 2016 if Obama has a full Democratic congress; meaning he could actually pass all the stuff he babbles about in the SOTU.

2.  Jan/Feb 2017 and the next President SOTU speech.  What will the next President, most likely Hillary, want done.

Is he really talking about how Obamacare is so good?

I was curious about how hard he was going to push the executive action thing.

The Climate change debate is not settled.....

The heck it ain't settled.

The only people who think this is still in dispute are the people who don't understand the science and then believe that because they don't understand it then no one can. The rest who argue against it are doing so for political or monetary reasons.

Any reason why women don't get equal pay as men? Was playing Candy Crush during most of the speech but when he pointed that out that couldn't be more logical. No reason women should be paid less then men for working just as hard. That's criminal.

I think it has a lot to do with taking time off for kids and family. I read an article that mentioned something about taking off a lot of time for kids and they end up getting passed by while they take large amounts of time off, which means less pay because they are not able to compete for them. Also they may be seen as less reliable since they have to take care of the kids when the school calls. They also may not work the hours that men work due to families. Not my words, just something I read about some of the causes.

Rep. Weber: Obama Is A Socialistic Dictator

January 28, 2014

Prior to President Obama’s State of the Union address, U.S. House Rep. Randy Weber (R-Tx.) tweeted that Obama is a “socialistic dictator.”

Weber succeeded Ron Paul as the representative of Texas’ 14th congressional district in 2013.

Earlier, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tx.) wrote a op/ed published by the Wall Street Journal in which he called Obama out for his imperial presidency.

“The president’s taste for unilateral action to circumvent Congress should concern every citizen, regardless of party or ideology,” he wrote. “The great 18th-century political philosopher Montesquieu observed: ‘There can be no liberty where the legislative and executive powers are united in the same person, or body of magistrates.’”

“America’s Founding Fathers took this warning to heart, and we should too.”

I don't give a damn, it makes no damn sense why women get paid less than men. Biggest question and biggest pet peeve from this guy here who really doesn't give a damn about most issues. And I could care less about many political issues, but this one is the one I give a damn the most about because there are many hard working women who don't get paid as much as men. It's ridiculous. The industry is biased against women (more Men CEO's than women, not many woman engineers or mathematicians) and it's downright ridiculous.

I would like to live in a world where we don't judge based on gender and pay someone less just because they weren't born a male.

I still fail to see any reason why women get paid less than men. Women have vacation time just like men. Maternity leave.

If theyr'e both working equally at the same job, why does one get paid less? How is this fair?

Its because they leave the work force for an extended period of time, losing out on the job experience. When they come back they are lower than when they started. Think what would happen if you took off two year from your job. How many things would change? You get passed by your peer group. I would love to see the numbers when compared between women who do not have kids and families and men. That would be an interesting statistic.
