thebluefood
Renée Fleming, one of the world's most renowned sopranos, will sing the national anthem at Super Bowl XLVIII. She will be the first opera singer to have the honor. (Last year, Alicia Keys was picked. Others tapped in recent years to sing the anthem at the Super Bowl include Cher, Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson and The Dixie Chicks.) http://www.nj.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2014/01/super_bowl_2014_rene_fleming_to_sing_national_anthem_on_game_day.html I can't believe its taken the NFL this long to get an opera singer to perform at the Super Bowl.
