Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates' book - Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War

Last week this book's impending release caused quite a stir in the media for its criticism of key players in Washington and Obama's leadership mistakes.

Anyone read or start reading this book yet?  I'm about 100 pages in and it's fascinating.  So far, he definitely isn't holding back with his loathing of congress and Harry Reid in particular, in one paragraph likening him to a traitor.

 

Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone else has read this and what their thoughts are....

Yeah, he definitely hits pretty hard and names names of both Republicans and Democrats he viewed as detractors from the war effort; putting their minor political issues and political aspirations above the safety and well-being of the troops. Overall, so far he appears to be pretty matter of fact is his assessments...
