panel
There is a lot of SS hatin going around. And I must say that it is very easy to point the finger at SS and ask for his head. But throwing him out is like throwing away a dimond because it is dirty. We have all seen the high points of SS system, It was working without a hitch until our weakness was figured out. All we need to do is fix the Blitz protection, which I feel SS now underands, and get some pressure on the QB, which could be helped with Lavar in at DE. We can, and will get out of this hump. We are on the verg of figurering out how to be consistant, we will do this, we have a Bye now. We can perfect our schemes, now is not the time to loose faith. We can do this. Symbol
Panel, you're right and wrong. The system could work, if it was done correctly. The way you stop them from blitzing is to make them think you might run. However, every team knows that Spurrier is going to pass. Lavar isn't that good at DE, he had a lot of sacks, but it takes him from where he's good. We do need to put pressure on the QB, that much is true, but it might be better to put someone like Armstead at DE and se if that might help. Leonard Washington
the best way to stop the blitz to pick it up. parcells says it best, you good to be so good a picking up the blitz that you PRAY for the other team to blitz so you can get a big play. NASMTrainer
When exactly was the system "working without a hitch?" Because I think I must have missed that part.
Skins26
Despite what many think, we have stuck with the run the past 3 weeks. We have continued to run. But sometimes you have to run effectively, and Betts didnt do that one Sunday. How you stop teams from blitzing is by doing what we did on a paticular play on Sunday. Pick it up and make them pay. On a 47 yard bomb to Coles, very good play. We did the same against the Bucs for 27 or so. I know thats just 2 plays in two weeks and a number of blitzes are still working, but those plays show that we are getting better. Baby steps people. Leonard Washington
i guess you were right skins26. instead the usual 3 sacks and 10 hits on the qb there were 8 hits and 2 sacks.
