Skins26
Most people on this site were pushing for Betts to start for some reason. Talking about how much better he was than Canidate. Well you got your wish yesterday. I was pretty much one of the only supporters of Trung and wanted him to be the full time guy cause i thought he was doing so well. Did Betts gain a positive yard yesterday?? It wasnt really their defense cause Morton and Rock were running well. I said it all week, we're going to miss Trung more than most of you think. And the reason we lost yesterday was because we had no running game. And its not Spurrier's fault, he tried to run it, but Betts really didnt get the job done. I know he got hurt eventually but he was getting stuffed before that.
NASMTrainer
Washington had their back to there goal line a couple of times. I was 4 rows back. I had a pretty good look from where I was. I gotta say. I really didn't see much for him to run through.
Canyonero!
That was THE reason we lost? I wish I watched the game you did.
orlskinsfan
because betts will run where the hole is supposed to be...he wont improvise if the hole isnt there....canidate will look at the hole and if its blocked up he will take it elsewhere...that is why i like canidate more
GSF
Uh...no. Betts had guys all over him in the backfield on most of his runs. I don't think Trung would have done much better.
jbooma
Skins first off we should be happy who ever plays. Betts and Trung are decent backs but neither scare anyone. Betts was hurt going into the game anyway and we had no other choice but to play him. Now Betts and Trung are both hurt are you laughing now??!! Pathetic!!! :puke: :hammer:

Skins26
orlskinsfan, exactly! Betts is the kind of guy that if the hole isnt there, its going to be a loss. Which is why he has had so much trouble in the red zone this year too. I would bet you all a lot of money that Trung would have bounced several of those outside and gotten away. He always does. Betts is only as good as his blocking. Canidate can make things happen and his speed does scare people, it forces them to play more disciplined. Canyonero, are you kidding me??? We did lose due to a lack of a running game, thats why our passes didnt work. Did you notice that the first drive we started running it effectively with Morton, it resulted in a TD off of play action!?!??!
AzSkinsFan63
Morton got most his yardage when the Bills defense was protecting th lead... The o-line isn't even doing a good job run blocking anymore...

Saqs
Canidate > Betts. He runs a little harder than Trung but lacks the degree of elusiveness that Trung brings.
Joe Sick
Betts is mediocre, on a good day. There are probably ten guys on the waiver wire or practice squads that are as good or better than him. Very average. Only reason we keep pumping him up is that we went too high for him in the draft. At least Canidate is fast. If we have any more injuries, our starter might be Morton, with McCullough as the 3rd down back!

Skins26
jsichol, you hit it right on! That is it, there are a hundred guys just like Betts and maybe better. I think we shouldve kept Watson over him personally. Trung has vision and on a good day is really a great back. He's a guy who's extremely talented. The stats dont lie, he's up there in YPC because he is that good at running the ball. He is very important to our team. He can carry the load and be a #1 back. He can be a top 10 back in the league. I dont know about his durability but i dont think its too bad, the ankle thing wasnt a ***** injury it looked pretty gross when it happened. Canidate can be a game changer and he's the kinda guy that can be top 10 in the league, given a good chance. Let me tell you all i have seen some just great runs by him this year. bishtw
There are very few backs that can be extremely effective when the O-line is as bad as ours. I was one that thought Betts deserved a shot. Oh well, he got hurt. So did Ramsey. R. Jhnson gaot the sh*t knocked out of him too. And so is any one else we stick back there until our line plays like a NFL caliber line. Neither back right now is pro-bowl material, and I don't see the out come of this game being any differant no matter who's back there.
Potato Sack
Oh yeh....it's all Betts fault. Let's throw it on HIS shoulders. If only it were that easy. The problem begins at the O-line. The O-line problems get fixed, we win games. Plain and simple. Don't blame Betts. The man had NO where to run. NOWHERE!
