GSF Posted October 20, 2003 Share Posted October 20, 2003 Bulldog and others, I think maybe you're mistaking being totally exhausted for no heart. How can you expect Trotter or anyone in the back 7 to play well with the virtual non-existence of the Dline and continual 3 and outs by the offense. I'm not making excuses for Trotter, Lavar, and company, they played poorly. But the blown assignments and recklessness are at least partially a product of the guys taking too many chances b/c they get zero help upfront. Ray Lewis would have not been so successful without Adams and Goose up front. Letting both Gardner and Wilky go without finding suitable replacements was just stupid. . Most of us knew it when it happened, and talked about it at length on this forum. Drafting Jacobs when there were still good lineman on the board, and we already had good receivers was also stupid Besides, how can you expect any of our defenders to play with heart after watching that rediculous offense from the sideline.
