Toe Jam
Oh.http://nypost.com/2013/11/18/census-faked-2012-election-jobs-report/ In the home stretch of the 2012 presidential campaign, from August to September, the unemployment rate fell sharply — raising eyebrows from Wall Street to Washington. The decline — from 8.1 percent in August to 7.8 percent in September — might not have been all it seemed. The numbers, according to a reliable source, were manipulated. And the Census Bureau, which does the unemployment survey, knew it. Just two years before the presidential election, the Census Bureau had caught an employee fabricating data that went into the unemployment report, which is one of the most closely watched measures of the economy. And a knowledgeable source says the deception went beyond that one employee — that it escalated at the time President Obama was seeking reelection in 2012 and continues today. “He’s not the only one,” said the source, who asked to remain anonymous for now but is willing to talk with the Labor Department and Congress if asked. The Census employee caught faking the results is Julius Buckmon, according to confidential Census documents obtained by The Post. Buckmon told me in an interview this past weekend that he was told to make up information by higher-ups at Census. click link for more
TheGoodBits
The content of the article does not match their attention-grabbing headline. Reading through it reminds me a lot of the reporting of the ACORN "election scandal."
MEANDWARF
Of course the numbers was rig. Everyone knew that when they first came out. But Obama got re-elected anyway. Kind of a mute point now.
twa
Mute? well they certainly still don't want to talk about it.
HBnotBlades
Both the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Census conduct surveys to determine the unemployment rate, they both showed a matching drop before the 2012 election. If there was a major discrepancy between the two it would not have slipped under the radar. This looks like nothing more than partisan BS, especially considering the source. No everyone didn't "know" that. Conservative partisans proclaimed it as fact over and over until they believed it, but that isn't the same thing at all. Predicto
By the way, this isn't a hard news article. It is an op-ed column, and the guy who wrote it, John Crudele, has been caught lying about the Census and unemployment figures before. http://www.factcheck.org/2010/05/more-census-nonsense/

You can be angry at Obama about real screwups like the rollout, without believing every imaginary scandal someone slings around. You understand that, don't you? RedskinsFan44
I would say the fact that the Fox News site doesn't have this on the front page (or anywhere that I can find) says a lot about the credibility of the story. Rush, however, did a nice long "See, I told you so" piece on it.
Predicto
Zoony said it, I didn't! I think zoony was using Bengazi as an example of a made-up, non-existent, partisan driven scandal. And it was a perfect example. You can think Obama is incompetent in getting his healthcare law implemented, without also believing that he wanted our Ambassador to Libya to die (or whatever the current version of the Benghazi "scandal" happens to be). Of course funny thing now is it turns out they were correct (they just needed to wait a year for the evidence). Go figure.

Its pretty simple. The Ambassador to Libya was Obama's cocaine dealer and secret gay lover when he was in college. Supposedly he was in possession of the infamous Michelle Obama "Whitey Tape" and was threatening to release it as black mail.

mistertim
I definitely accept this because the New York Post would never run a story with a bombastic headline and little to no evidence other than "sources".
MEANDWARF
Obama is simply incompetent, but didn't think Romney would have done the same. But truthfully, I don't have faith in anyone in leadership at all at this time.
RedskinsFan44
Story has disappeared from CNBC and Drudge, never mad it to Fox. If it was true it would be a major scandal.
