hail2skins
There are a few clips posted on YouTube from games in the late 60s and early 70s, and just certain aspects about the field got me thinking about memories from that era (even though I didn't really start watching the NFL until about '73). For instance, here's a clip from Kezar Stadium where one of the end zones had the Redskins logo in it for a game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJrkGJGO-UQ Another one from RFK shows that the yards were marked numerically at 5-yard increments, not the 10-yards that have been standard: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GI5T_ebsPpQ Since this is Dallas Day, another one I remember was from Texas Stadium. Anyone remember how one of the goal post paddings there would have the opposing team's name and colors on it? What things from the old days do you remember?
