jonthefishermen
Hey guys, been reading for years here this is my first topic posted. If its against any of the rules or needs to be merged somewhere else I apologize in advance. I started this post so that it could be easier to keep track of what's going on with the other teams in our division. I know some will probably say that sitting at 1-3 we need to worry about ourselves and not whats goin on with other teams but we aren't the coaches or players I think we can handle watching two things at once. The giants dropped to 0-6 last night basically taking them out of the hunt unless something drastic happens. Cowboys and Eagles sitting 2-3 with us one game behind and right in it even after the terrible start we had.

RSanz
Can we just take this opportunity to bask in the glory of the 0-6 Giants record? **** YOU MARA!!! Choke on it.
StephenDavis
Man I enjoy watching Eli look terrible as well. I think it's obvious that the favorite in the NFC East right now is Dallas. I still can't get over how good Romo sits to pee played against Denver minus the interception at the end. If Romo sits to pee plays like that again our offense better be moving the ball like last year. Every game I keep waiting for the offensive explosion to happen for us. Maybe this week is the week. I like that too. But, I'd rather be 0-6 and still in the shadow of two recent Lombaris than 1-3 and only able to hang our hat on a division title. I mean that seriously. I mean, I've seen the Redskins win three SB's. I've always wondered how long you can bust out the "well, we have a trophy" thing. Jumbo
The NNT on the OP can remind all that even when done nicely, apologizing for "possibly" breaking rules (which happened here) because one didn't bother to make sure they read them and understood them sufficiently before jumping in, does not net a free pass. And per the OP, the troll thingy is still on the table for now.
Botched
The NFC East is 2-12 against non-division opponents. After 5 weeks, NFC East teams have won 5 games total. The last-place teams in the AFC East, AFC West, and NFC West would all be leading our division with their current records. The state of the NFC East is hilariously bad. NomadicSkinFan
Even though I'm very unhappy with the way we started this season, I'm very happy realizing where we sit compared to the other teams in our division. The Cowboys are the most talented team right now. But Romo sits to pee and Ware are not young players anymore. 5 years from now (maybe less) Cowboys will be looking for a new QB and won't have one of the most dominant defensive players of the last 10 years. Eagles... They need a QB and a lot of help in other places. Giants? Their once dominate line and "clutch" QB are faltering big time. So for all our faults, we are a team with youth and talent in the right places. Cowboys window is closing. Ours is just starting to open. Maybe this year will be salvageable. But either way, you have to feel good about our ability to compete in the division moving forward.

hail2skins
From a position in the division perspective, Sunday night is big, but not must win as of yet. Even if we lose, the most we'll be down is 1.5 games with 9 left to play. That's hardly insurmountable. What going to 1-4 would more signifcantlymean is that we would be that much more likely to have a non-winning record for the season. Despite the fact that we could win the East at 8-8, that cheapens the meaning of the regular season for me. Of course, if by chance Seattle went 12-4 but lost out on their division and had to come here (or Dallas, or Philly) and lost, it was serve as karma for them getting in at 7-9 a few years ago (and would be revenge for our recent playoff losses to them), but also might make the league look at this silly four-division-per-conference structure. hail2skins
if it would have served as karma for seattle, wouldnt it have served them karma last year too? i mean them having to come to DC. Sort of, but there was only a one-game spread between the two teams, and you can make the case that one of their victories (Packers) was stolen, so in reality it was 10-6 going up against 10-6. I'm talking about the scenario which happened three out of four years between 2008 and 2011 where an 8-8 or worse division winner had gotten to host a playoff team that finished four games ahead of them in the standings. I know you have people that say "Well, if you want a home game, win your division," but to me, its BS. The system needs changing.
