Ask the question on the heels of the Skins getting probably the least satisfying W since Chris Simms came in relief of Kyle Orton in 2009 at FedEx and we won a game in Jim Zorn's horrible second season.

With the Cowboys losing today and their track record of choking in December, it appears more and more likely that we can have an 8-8 division winner. Granted, its still early, but I just see it going that way.

I know how the system is with the four-division concept and that an 8-8 or below team has won its division, gotten to host a playoff game, and in fact has won that game three times since 2008.  But I just ask the question to think outside the system a bit, and how you would actually feel if it was the Skins getting in at 8-8 or below to take it.

Can we wait til' we're much better than 1-3 before we talk playoffs or division titles?

If we were 3-1 and Dallas were 4-0, there would be talk of division titles and nobody would have a problem with it. We're in that exact same position as far as the division goes. Obviously a long season and it's not worth thinking that far ahead merely because of games remaining, but the weakness of the team is not really an issue in the NFC east right now.

We'll be lucky to get six wins. I'd always take a home playoff game but this season lets not get our hopes up. This team is not good.

Well, maybe they'll magically start being good after the bye. Probably not, but who knows?

If we come out and lay an egg against Dallas, the season is over IMO. I'm gonna stay optimistic and open-minded for the next two weeks because it's good to have something to look forward to. The D played well today and the next time we see it, it will have more starters on it.

Since there's an extremely big likelihood that the only way a team is going to the playoffs from the East this particular season is by winning the division title, let me ask the question this way.

In 2013 the Redskins win the division at 8-8, host a playoff game, and win it, but then lose in the divisional round on the road

In 2014 the Redskins go 10-6 but another team in the division does better. We go on the road and lose in the wild card round, lets say to a team which has an equal or better record than 10-6.

Which season would be more satisfying, or would they be equally as satisfying?

if this team really goes 9-3 or 10-2 down the stretch, this team is winning the Super Bowl

Stop it dude, just stop. You made the same type of crazy proclamations for the Nationals and it never panned out.

Reg. the question, doesn't matter to me. Playoffs are playoffs. HFA if it's only for one game doesn't mean jack.

Playoff wins are always more satisfying than none at all. Think of the monkey RG3 would have on his back if he was 0-2 in the playoffs.

I don't know Bacon.  Everyone knows RG3 was up 14-0 last year before getting hurt.  I think players start developing monkeys only after losing repeatedly at home, as the Eagles did in the early 2000s and the Falcons have a couple times now.

This guy above said they are 9-3 or 10-2.  I said if they really did that they would win the superbowl.  The nats i had a feeling about but they started their run way too late.
