bubba9497
REDSKINS REPORT CARD Staff writer Paul Woody grades Washington's 35-13 loss to Tampa Bay Richmond Times-Dispatch Oct 14, 2003 http://www.timesdispatch.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=RTD/MGArticle/RTD_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1031771535818&path=!sports&s=1045855934844 PASSING Passing is difficult when you are flat on your back, face down in the turf or have an opponent grabbing you by your jersey collar and pulling you back as you try to go forward. No one knows this better than quarterback Patrick Ramsey, who was sacked four times by the Tampa Bay Bucs and hit far more times than that when he did manage to get passes away. Perhaps because of the pressure, Ramsey missed some passes he normally hits. His protection was shoddy for several reasons: poor blocking schemes, blown assignments and the Bucs' front four is one of the best in the NFL. RUNNING The backfield committee of Trung Canidate and Ladell Betts finished the game with a total of 64 yards rushing and two sprained ankles. Canidate's injury is the more serious. Neither runner found many holes, and after the Bucs surged in the third quarter, the running game was eliminated anyway. DEFENSE For one half, the Redskins had the Bucs under control. Then, the defense either fell apart or the Bucs got on a roll. More likely, it was a mixture of the two. Bucs quarterback Brad Johnson rarely felt any pressure, and when he did, it came from blitzing linebackers. About those blitzing linebackers - someone wasn't following his assignment when two linebackers blitzed when the Bucs faced a third-and-15 at their 15. The result was an 18-yard pass to running back Michael Pittman. The linebackers and safeties never did figure out how to stop the three touchdown passes to the Bucs' backup tight ends on bootleg or misdirection plays. SPECIAL TEAMS John Hall continued his exceptional kicking with a 51-yard field goal and a chip-shot 33-yarder. His kickoffs were solid as well. Return man Chad Morton had a 37-yard kickoff return. The coverage units were good.
Skins26
Wonder who blew the assignment, LA, Armstead (though i doubt it was him), or Trotter.
OURYEAR#56
It's edwards. he gives the LB the authority to changed their assignments. That's why Finn was open in over time.

I'm not sure who blew the assignment but I would much rather have Lavar in coverage than any of the others so if I had to guess, I would say it was him.
