Skins26
We lost the game, we got beat up. That is all true, I am upset about it and having trouble finding any good from it. But this cannot go unnoticed or unmentioned on this site. The game that Lavar Arrington had was simply ridiculous. He was an absolute beast. He messed up on that one bootleg but that was it. He was crazy. He really backed up his talking. I just hope he can find a way to get that angry every week because from the first snap of the game to the last one he was insane. And smart I might add. When he hammered McCardell, and McCardell got up and threw the ball at him, he didnt budge, he just stared him down........didnt move a muscle, resulting in a penalty against the Bucs and not us. I just feel bad for him because he gave it all he's got and I know how frustrated he probably is with this team.

Potato Sack
I feel awful for Arrington. He brought his heart and soul to this game. Edwards then rewarded him with the bad play-calling when Tampa had that 3rd and 16. Ridiculous!
Skins26
Arrington is such a good player, and has so much talent. That after a loss like this the first thing i worry about is him. I worry that he's going to get frustrated and not want to play for us when it comes time for him to get a new contract. I am sooo scared that he will leave us. He is such a tremendous player. I feel so bad for him.
inmate running the asylum
Sure Arrington played with heart today, but I don't think Arrington has had that great a season so far. His play has been very uneven and he has disappeared in a couple of games, and he has only 1 sack and very few game turning plays so far. Against the Giants he blitzed and allowed Finn to gain 25 yards in a critical overtime situation that ultimately cost us the game. Today with the score 14-13 and Tampa Bay driving, he has a stupid unnecessary roughing call out of bounds which keeps Tampa Bay's drive alive and breaks our back 21-13. At least last year, LaVar had 11 sacks.
Sarge
It was nice to see "The Leap" in action.
Pete
While Arrington was layin the wood to some folks today, he also hurt us just as bad with his blatent late hit. I'm thinkin he also drew a 15 yarder earlier in the game, but I'm a bit crazy right now, and not thinking right. He can have all the anger he wants, as long as he doesn't kill us like that. I would love to walk up from behind him and give him a smack in the back of his mellon, and screem "WTF were you thinking" the way one of my old coaches did when we screwed up. I wouldn't run in fear of a beating from him either...................he's way to fast to get away from:laugh:  I'm not saying he lost the game for us, but he didn't help us at times today. skinsanity56
he had a pretty decent gm but a personal foul call 2wks in a row against him, cost us points both times..
Canadian Hog
Skinsanity56......last week's personal foul on L.A. vs. Philly was simply a bad call on the part of the officials. Lavar's not to fault on that one......the T.Bay personal foul was a different story though............if some of the other guys on our team would start showing the intensity and heart displayed by Lavar today, I think we would be better off. Skins26
inmate, while in that Giants game he did make that mistake. He also forced two HUGE fumbles that game, actually i think he punched the ball like 15 yards downfield when he forced them, had our team been able to recover those fumbles, I think it would be safe to say he made a HUGE impact in that game. He cant do everything, he forces some fumbles but we dont get them. He forced another one today that we didnt get. Though he only has one sack he is also rushing the passer much less, and he has several pressure which are forcing bad throws. As for his penalty today, I dont think he did that to be intimidating or anything like that, it looked to me just like he didnt realize the guy was out of bounds since the guy was still moving foward, it did kinda look like he had broken the first tackle and was still moving up the sideline. I think you can see how smart he was when after McCardell flicked the ball on him he could have blown up, but he just stood there, and drew the penalty. He was a beast in the Jets game, he had two huge plays forcing fumbles in the Giants game, he made some huge plays today. I think he's been pretty big this whole season. Gamebreaker
I agree with JBooma. Each time on those last 2 TD's, Champ kept picking up the wrong TE rolling out to the right. The first time I blame it on Champ for not knowing his assignment, the second time I blame it on Edwards for not bringing it to his attention. OT. but upshaws late hit on johnson was pure garbage today.
