[Crazy Draft]

Precisely.  Either that or trading down and still getting Mariota, like I've done a few times!

But looking over your board, discounting the obvious impossibility of drafting four new starters on the offensive line (if it was possible, however, that would be nice, especially is Drango can make the move to OG), I would be very happy to somehow come away with Kevin Johnson and Ben Koyack.

Here's my most recent multiple trade-back draft. Don't ask ... I traded back every time for the first 3-4 picks

1(25): Michael Bennett, 3-4 DE Ohio State

2(6): La'El Collins, G/T LSU

2(9): Bernderick McKinney, ILB Miss. State

2(25): Maxx Williams, TE Minnesota

3(5): Ameer Abdullah, RB Nebraska

3(6): Sheldon Day, 3-4 DE Notre Dame

4(6): Anthony Harris, SS UVA

4(25): Alex Carter, CB Stanford

5(5): Jordan Phillips, NT Oklahoma

5(6): Issac Seumalo, OC Oregon State

5(9): Austin Hill, WR Arizona

5(31): Donovan Smith, OT Penn State

I also got a 2016 4th rounder ... and a 6th and 7th but stopped after 5 rounds. Some of those names are poorly ranked. Carter, Phillips, Harris ... all should be in the Top 2 or 3 rounds but I just went with it.

IMO, that adds a Starting RG (Collins) DE (Bennett), CB (Carter), SS (Harris), NT (Phillips), ILB (McKinney), TE (Williams) ... plus future starter-potential at RB (Abdullah), DE (Day), C (Seumalo) and plenty of depth.

Didn't do much trades in this one. Trading down in the 3rd and in the fourth for small jumps. Pick in the 6th and 7th could be better I know...

But it doesn't look really bad to me.

I went full trade mode. Went up and down. Probally set a record record.

Traded up for Waynes (top 20 talent), Gurley (first round grade) and Kikaha (early second grade) because I thought they where value at the point.

I'd have Williams as a DE/nickel DT

Shelton NT

Prewitt FS

Ifo and Carter would be CB and nickel corner (Amerson might be moving to S)

OO DE and Jones was just value

A Dline w/ the rooks, Hatcher and Cofield rotating would be beastly, with Kerrigan and hopefully an improved Murphy coming off the edges

This obviously does nothing for the O line issues, but you can't fix everything and the way this draft played out there was more value on the D IMO.

And yes I'm doing this at work.

I only traded down twice (including the Jets offering to move up one spot in the first for their second rounder, for some reason.  I don't think this is too bad, I rebuilt our secondary in rounds 2/3, but I didn't get a great score.

Round 1 Pick 6 (NYJ): Brandon Scherff, OT, Iowa (A)
Round 2 Pick 5 (NYJ): P.J. Williams, CB, Florida State (B+)

Score was 4275, a B+.  Of course the Penn State homerism would kill me.

Gave me a 4,312 points haha because of Max Valles...

Did this one without any trades, because it's so unrealistic on the website and I get tempted to trade to 17 and pick up like 7 extra 2nd rounders....

Fanspeak has a new simulator up called "Manage the Cap" free agency simulator. Anyone tried this out yet? Another great time killer and a way to exercise our wanna-be GM minds.

http://fanspeak.com/mtc/

I don't know how their program works, but I managed to keep Orakpo for five years at less than $5.5 million per year, which makes me kind of doubt it.  Here is a list of notable additions I made, and coincidentally here is a list of reasons why I'm not an NFL GM.

SIGNED PLAYERS

 Colt McCoy QB 1,500,000

 Niles Paul TE 900,000

Nick Hardwick C 3,200,000  (The plan here is to kick Kory back to guard)

 Willie Smith T 1,875,000

 Jarvis Jenkins DE 880,000

 Alan Branch DE 2,480,000

 Brian Orakpo OLB 3,025,000

 Taylor Mays S 840,000

 Mike Adams S 3,000,000

 Matt Bryant K 1,200,000

 William Gay CB 2,030,000

I ended up with $10.7 million in cap space making these additions and most of the obvious cuts.

Cut:

Stephen Bowen, DE

Chris Chester, G

Tracy Porter. CB

Logan Paulsen, TE

Josh LeRibeus, G

Kedric Golston, DT

Frank Kearse, DT

Steve Beauharnais, ILB

Rishaw Johnson, G

Resigned:

None

Signed w/ cap hit:

Mike Iupati, G $3,930,000

Jah Reid, G $2,062,500

Bryan Bulaga, T $4,020,000

Ndamukong Suh, DT, $7,700,000

Justin Houston, OLB, $6,600,000

Byron Maxwell, CB, $2,450,000

Devin McCourty, S, $5,400,000

Jeron Johnson, S, $960,000

Left me with $109,774 cap space but it didn't allow me to go back and restructure/make cuts after FA signings.

Have to run but I'll add a draft.
