Tommy-the-Greek
http://www.theredzone.org/news/showarticle.asp?ArticleID=415 Giants Sign Kicker Brett Conway EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - The Giants filled their latest special teams void today when they signed veteran kicker Brett Conway. To make room on the roster, the Giants waived cornerback Ray Green. Conway, who has been with four other teams since entering the NFL in 1997, will step in for Matt Bryant, who pulled his right hamstring kicking a 43-yard field goal on the final play of the first half in Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Bryant is expected to be sidelined three-to-four weeks. Mike Hollis, who challenged Bryant in training camp, is on season-ending injured reserve with a back injury. Conway, 28, was in training camp this summer with the Indianapolis Colts. He made all six of his extra point attempts and one of two field goal tries. Conway was successful from 24 yards but missed a 47-yard try, both against the Chicago Bears in the preseason opener on Aug. 9. He was released on Aug. 31, when the Colts decided to stick with incumbent kicker Mike Vanderjagt. In his career, Conway has made 55 of 72 field goal attempts (76.4 percent), including 20 of 31 (64.5 percent) from 40 yards and out. He kicked a career-long 55-yard field goal for the Redskins against the Giants in Giants Stadium on Oct. 7, 2001 - two years ago today. It is the longest field goal ever kicked against the Giants. Conway has made 83 of 84 extra point attempts and scored 248 points. Providing Great NFL News And Links Since 1998

inmate running the asylum
Actually Conway is not that bad a kicker when he was healthy. His problem is staying healthy.

gridironmike
I can't remember if it is Woeful or Matthews that Spurrier let kick in training camp because Conway was sleeping on the sideline. Matthews kicked in the Arizona game too, didn't he. Maybe the Giants will sign Matthews as a backup.

Hall is just fine, let's keep him and keep him healthy.
