BayouBrave86 Posted October 6, 2003 Share Posted October 6, 2003 They aren't that great of a team. Everyone thinks this team has a chance to really surprise some people. Its all hype which is bull, if they can beat the Eagles they will make beleivers of me. They got lucky as hell against the Giants, beat a NY Jets team that seems to lose confidence in themselves more and more each week, and a pathetic Arizona Cardinals team. They lost to a Falcons team which was Vickless. Im sorry but im not buying all this hype of the Cowboys and how they are poised to make alot of noise this year. I seriously think they will lose their next 4 games. The Eagles will dominate Quincy Carter, the Lions will embarrass them(caus the Lions aren't considered that great of a team, but Harrington will open their eyes), the Bucs will dominate Quincy as well, and well the Skins will run up the gut with Betts and Trung most of the day against them and then use that to open up that potent passing game of ours. Quincy will be throwing against man coverage comprised of Bailey and Smoot. I will eat crow if the Boys do beat the Eagles, but I seriously don't see that happening. Oh well this is my rant, and I guess I felt I had to let it out since they seem to be getting so much press after accomplishing so little. I know our team hasn't accomplished really anymore than they have, but oh well. That New England team we beat last Sunday sure looked good against a very good Tennessee Titans team. bulldog Posted October 6, 2003 Share Posted October 6, 2003 why get all upset about how people rate a team after 4 or 5 weeks? the Chargers were 5-1 last year and Berman on ESPN was talking about how much satisfaction Marty must be getting vis a vis the Redskins. then SD went on a skid and finished 8-8. now they are 0-5 Dallas may not win another game in the next month or they could surprise some people and get an upset or two. the odds are though that with a lot of younger players the Cowboys like the Redskins will end up struggling against the better veteran teams that know how to win. I got home today to see them beating the Cardinals, and I just shook my head. Nothing new there and the fact that ESPN seems to be riding on Parcells jock isn't to great either.
