B&G
we would shock the living hell out of opposing teams if we went with a quick snap...just once! I swear I would go on the first sound every play next week!
NavyDave
Heck who hasnt been screaming for that? Listen to sonny on the radio and on tv tomorrow
RySkins
Not only that, we ought to go no-huddle on somebody, at least for a drive or two.
Skeletor The Invincible
Something needs to be done about the false start penalties, I don't care what it is. It's not the system. Spurrier's teams have been using this audible system for 15 years and they have not had a problem hearing the calls. It has to be the personel. Hitman56
Here's a thought..don't false start.
JMac
I actually agreed with Chris Collinsworth today. Being a media guy you would think he would be nuetral but he was even flustered by Ramsey and the audibles which led to the false starts. 5 weeks should be enough "gel time". Its time to put up or get someone in who can play. How many times have penalties killed drives for us? answer is WAY TO MANY!!
Skeletor The Invincible
Collinsworth is a big time Spurrier follower... you could tell he was rooting for us... it was kinda funny.
Heavy-Jumbo
You wouldn't have known it by listening to him! I got the distinct impression he was doggin us every chance he could get. Collinsworth blows!!!
CD167
Well, to me the bad part is that most of the false start penalties came from the rookie, who is beside the ball. Of course the ones by Jansen and Samuels are terrible too, as tackles are supposed to look into the ball like recievers do.
du7st
Samuels keeps indicating that he can't hear after he commits false start penalties. Me thinks he needs to ditch the lay-z-boy chair that he wears around his neck so he can see and hear what the heck is going on around him.
RDSKNfaithfull
Audibles AND NOT USING A SILENT COUNT ON THE ROAD ON THIRD DOWN IN PHILLY.
du7st
We can speculate but we really don't know if its Helton's fault for not preparing the troops, Spurriers fault for not getting the rest of the offense on the same page as the line, Ramsey's fault for not running the plays correctly, or the linemen themselves. We just aren't getting the basics down right now and its frustrating and costing us bigtime.
bulldog
these guys have also given up sacks in man on blocking, I refuse to buy the hearing the count arugment as a complete excuse for the 16 sacks and numerous hits Ramsey has taken. if Spurrier refuses to keep the back and TE in to block the Skins are going to end up like the Rams are now, with QBs that have concussions and go in and out of the lineup. it's a shame really for Warner. the guy is just 32 and yet his body has taken such a pounding the past 4 seasons he is in worse shape than 38 year old Rich Gannon. RDSKNfaithfull
It doesnt matter If you know your team leads the league in false starts. You help them out as much as you can. Like Collinsworth said our lineman have more responsiblilty than most. Like the rams we send everybody and there mother out on a route. I love that but not when the team is bringing corners and 2 linebackers everyplay out of a 4-3.

OrangeSkin
EDIT: OK, I did my little rant, and I started to feel guilty about ripping into the 'Skins so much. I mean, they're still my boys. So the rant had to go away. If anybody gives a damn, I was just wondering why the hell they can't stand still for 10 seconds.
Leonard Washington
i don't see the problem either orange. i mean how hard it to stand still?
SkinsLover
I think something has to be done about the false starts...seven... that is huge. The players need to be responsible. The coaches need to make them accountable. I love Spurrier, but I really hate the attitude of.."I don't know what else we can do, blah blah blah..." Make them sit, pull them out of games. fine them, make the fat guys run 200 laps around Fed Ex field. I don't care.... BUT DO SOMETHING FOR CHRISTS SAKE... Sheesh. I would like to formally volunteer to assist the coaching staff just for a month or so, FOR FREE. I would think of something good.
CD167
I think Spurrier actually thought there was a difference in attitude between college and pro. I think thats why he says he doesn't know what to do. I mean, these guys are supposed to be professionals, right? That to me means that their only job in this world is to play and understand all the responsibilities of the game. Its not like its 18-21 year old kids who have to balance school work with football while living out of a dorm or small apartment. These guys are ROLLING in money, most set for life. All they have to do is have a professional work ethic at what they do. To me, Boswell and many others including our head coach, it looks like our players DON'T CARE. I doubt you could make Samuels "run laps" like a high school kid. He would probably laugh like hell and get in his HumV and go home. They have to take a professional attitude about this team , because Spurrier, Helton or anybody else can't do it for them.

You are right on the money, I guess that is what I couldn't put my finger on. They or the majority are acting like they just don't care. You would think one would think of the bigger picture, other than getting revenge blocks, & bad calls for unsportsmanlike conduct, taunting....These are actually killing me!!! Maybe they need to review the Redskins Superbowl's and check out the difference between the teams. I bet although vastly different players and talents and schemes...one thing they would see that I agree is missing is the complete trust in each other, the cohesive units, the total unselfishness....hence then came the trophies. I know they have money out the wazoo, but don't they want that lifelong dream of winning it all???? Or am I in some bizarro fantasyland where only the fans have most of the discipline and desire???
