michael_33
And now their everywhere!! 5 maybe even 10 years ago,I couldn't name you 1 buc friend that I knew....Then all of a sudden their like a rash!!Their spreading all over!! I ran into 2 buc fans today at the Smoke shop, where I get my tobacco and tubes for my my smokes.... I was also looking at the NFL Zippo lighters they had.... Of course they had every team it seemed like except the Skins.... The cool thing is he's going to order me one!! I was talking football with the owner and we were talking about past superbowls and the 2 guys behind me said"yeh, the Bucs are gonna win it again baby"!! Then they asked me who my team was and of course I said "the Redskins"!! Then they responded in a jokingly manner by saying"ya,we get to beat you guys here in a couple of weeks'! And as I always am....I just said'It should be a great game"! I don't wanna sound to overconfident this year cause I've been screwed to many times with our teams past play... But my point to all of this...is where were all the Buc fans 10 years ago or so....?cause I've been a Redskin fan every year since 1978(5 years old)through the good and bad times...! Gottta love those band wagoneers...! Hell ,I know at least a few Lion fans in my town and they have never won the superbowl!!
Manly Dexter
Yeah, it's pretty funny. Just like the Cowboys fans that live in the DC area. Most of them don't even watch or like football. LOL They're just a55holes by nature. Most of the people wearing Bucs jerseys today will be wearing the next champion's jerseys tomorrow. They're probably the same robots that try to fashion their lives after the latest rap video. "I must have that type of car. I must have those expensive tacky clothes. I must be cool." AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

LOL They're just a55holes by nature. Thats to funny, they say the same about Redskin fans down this way:laugh: If the Skins were a laughing stock as long as the Bucs had been, and you lived in Fl, most folks wouldn't be sporting team gear except on game days to avoid being harassed. Fl is a weird place when it comes to sports fans. Tampa has got a much better fan base then Miami for some time now. But the state is full of transplants from other states. Hell, I actually saw a truck with a huge Bungles helmet on the tailgate. Every team has their die hard fans, as they have the bandwagoneers. A-holes.........I'm not to sure on that one. I've met plenty of them in Skins gear also.

Kilmer17
What's insane is that they now have the second longest season ticket waiting list in the NFL. After the Skins of course. But 85k strong waiting for seats is pretty incredible.
The Sisko
Sorry dude, but the Bucs have been my #2 team since I was a kid in FL. Waaaay back before the days of Pewter Power, when they had the ugly orange uni's with the gay "Cavalier" on the helmet. Most of my friends growing up there were Bucs fans too in spite of the fact that the team was for the most part the Bungles of the NFL back then. I have noticed that there's a lot of Bucs fans here in the Atlanta area as well. However, I suppose that's due to the relatively close proximity of FL. EagleSteve
All these "new" Bucs fans were Rams fans a few years ago. Who's next on the list? Shame we can't get One Dollar's opinion on all of the johnny-come-lately Bucs fans. He'd probably be indignant since he was a long-timer.

gridironmike
There are many things worse than a Bucs fan.........like an Eagle, Giant, or Cowboys fan.

SlinginSammy HOF '63
I think it's halarious how these Buc fans run their mouths about how great "their" team is. There were NO Buc fans here in Illinois 5-10 years ago and now they're all over. I have 1,000x more respect for a Bengals or Lions fan then someone who's switching teams every 3-4 years. True, but I would have to say the fan that held on to his orange Leroy Selmon jersey or John Mackay Panama Jack hat is the one that's really an Old School fan. Symbol
I do know one true Bucs fan, he almost got a divorce this off season, his wife is a Raiders fan. However, I do remember back in the late '80's and early '90's, seeing a person I know wearing 49ers shirts and hats, the next year wearing a Giants hat, then a Redskins hat, then a Cowboys hat. He kept saying that he'd been a fan for years. That's definately a guy jumping on the bandwagon. I just told him one day, not to come over for football because he'd never understand. NoCalMike
I'd say out here in CA, the sprouting of Rams fans has been the worst since brand new Dallas fans in the early 90's. I mean after the Rams won the superbowl, half the sportsbar was consumed with Rams fans. It was sickening.
