Reaganaut
Just poking fun at Champ. He said "I'll tell you what" before every answer. I think it shows he's amazed by what's happening this year. Champ laughed at playing for Steve Spurrier because he said that the Georgia fans are relentless about it. He said that Spurrier and he hit it off fine. As far as playing hurt, he said that he takes pride in not missing any games in 5 years and only two practices. He said that others play hurt and he has to as well. It's a great inspiration to the rest of the team. They talked about Randy Moss and Terrell Owens. Champ said the politically correct things about them with Moss being the best athlete and Owens the best all around. He'd like to play them to measure himself against them. Contract talk, he said that nothing positive can come out of franchise tag, but it shows how important they think he is. He talked about Ramsey and the difference between last year and this year in his understanding of the offense. He also said that Ramsey will be one of the best in the league soon. Symbol
I agree, Ramsey will be one of the best real soon. I also agree that nothing good can come of the franchise tag, so the moment we're done this season (and hopefully seeing our team holding up the Lambardi), we need to get busy giving Champ a new contract and Champ had better get off his greedy :moon: and accepting it. That's going to be interesting. Let's say the Redskins do well, and make it to the playoffs. Maybe even the second round and continues to show signs that this team will be really good in the very near future. Does he care more about winning or the money? If we, possible Super Bowl contenders in the next few years, offer him less than a team that isn't going anywhere, would he pick us?
just skins baby
Skins24 I think you are absolutely dead on:applause: I've read somewhere or heard that Champ thinks he will get something worked out sorta the way they did with Jansen last year. I mean before the season is over.
Skins26
hahahahaha good one Champ, Good joke you pulled on us with this not resigning thing, now let it be over AND PLEASE COME BACK!!!
Burgold
I don't think Champ totally wanted to come back. He certainly didn't advise his agent to negotiate at all. As for changing his mind, if he is surprised and pleased about the winning I think that may matter. After all, after five d coordinators in as many years... a little consistency and a little winning could do wonders.
