Your personal circles of hell

You ever tried going around '11-12? I did that a few times, and it always seemed like it was the least crowded around that time.

I went last week on a Thursday at around 11:30. Completely packed.

Just thinking about it is making me mad. I just can't stand the DMV for some reason.

Watching sporting events I care about with large groups of people who don't know anything. I'm DREADING Thanksgiving this year when the Skins tee it up in Dallas and family is all around being annoying.

That's happened a few times with me on Christmas.Thanksgiving, etc. I normally ignore it when it's other teams, but when ut's my team, and someone who does't watch sports a all tries to "Educate" me, I find it hard to hide my level of disdain for them

Airplane flights. I'm a white knuckle flyer, and every time the plane hits a tiny little bit of turbulence I am sure I am going to die and even though I know I am being irrational I start debating with myself whether to lean over and tell my wife and kids that I love them one last time before the end but I don't want to scare them and oh god why didn't I empty the cache on my computer before I left the house its full of Japanese tentacle porn what was I thinking I don't even like that stuff and oh damn I think I am going to throw up now what do you mean there are still 9 and a half hours in this flight...

I was like that when I was a little kid. I remember flying into National Airport one time, thinking we were going to crash into the Potomac. I remember seeing some dude that was kayaking or something, and it literally looked like we were going to hit him.

Waiting rooms at a doctor's office. Time seems to stand still as you leaf through old magazines as others around you stare off into space or whisper among themselves. I always feel claustrophobic.

What waiting room are you in? Everyone is usually on their phone.

Those situations where someone close to me has received bad new about someone I don't know, or particularly care for, in which I am supposed to provide support. It is the one situation where I don't trust myself to talk and feel like my emotional bag of tricks is incomplete. Instead of feeling bad and supportive I feel cold and alert... as if my brain responds to a friend telling me that their father just died the same way it would have if they said "hey I just saw a wolf outside".

A birthday party...for me.

Good to see I'm not alone in that.

People in general, whether it's people on their cell phones in line, driving, at the dr's office, wherever. I hate Walmart anymore. I only use it to take a ****. Seriously, everytime I go to Walmart I have to ****. I don't know why. I had to go while we were in Kuai in Hawaii driving. I told my wife I needed to find a restroom and guess what was around the corner? Yep. Left my mark in that one.

- Staff Meetings

- Town Hall meetings

- Pretty much any meeting whatsoever

- In my office, trying to get my work done and my female coworkers are gossiping about stupid, inane **** and expecting me to join in b/c they think I give a rip. No, please let me get my work done so I can get the hell out of the office.

- Grocery store lines prior to major holidays

- Driving during Thanksgiving/Christmas shopping season

- Airport layovers (direct flight PLEASE)

- Being forced to participate in "team building" exercises

- STUCK IN TRAFFIC

Evidently I have a low annoyance threshold...

Crowds/long lines. I hate being in a crowded area and having to wait in a long line. Especially if the line is moving really sloooooowly. Ugh. It can be anywhere, at the fair/amusement park, waiting to board a plane, whatever. The worst is when the line isn't moving but people keep crowding forward. Makes me want to go psycho and start swinging elbows.

THE FREAKIN METRO!!!!! :tantrum:

Bus and or Trains. It is the worst man. And don't even get me started on these bad kids on the train and bus after school. I make sure I do whatever I can to avoid getting on there.

Oh man, don't get me started about the metro.

One of mine is the MVA. I freakin' hate that place. I wish you could do EVERYTHING online instead of some things.

I hate hate hate flying and usually get on an airplane only after making peace with the fact that I am ending my life.

I'm flying on a sea plane in the morning, I'm strangely excited.

I hate getting gas. Going to the gas station is one of my least favorite things to do.

I am an extremely efficient person, so I HATE having meetings about stuff that can be explained over email. And then, in said meetings, people who ask 20,000 questions that are SO easy to look up themselves, but they have to prolong the meeting by asking said questions. Happened yesterday. I have no patience for that.

I also have zero patience with middle-aged or old people who still don't know how to use a computer. These people act like Microsoft Office and PowerPoint are the most difficult things in the world.

I actually went to a kids birthday party last year, and was (sort of) tricked into setting up some of the decorations, and moderating a game of Twister. I normally have no problems with a few kids, and can keep their attention by cracking jokes and stuff like that, but when it comes to more than a handful, with parents around, I am literally dreading the moment when one of them starts to spaz out. So I'd include large groups of children as one of my circles.

My seventh circle would probably be 301/the Beltway during a moderate snowstorm, sinnce people go completely ape****, and traffic gets miserable. Took me like 2.5 hours to get home from work 2 years ago in one of those.

I'll agree on going to the doctor.

I hate it.. my appointment is at 2:00. I get there at 145.. i sit in the waiting room until 245.

I go in then I sit in the examination room until 3:15 until the doctor comes in.. 10 minutes later he leaves. half an hour later he comes back with my prescription.

My whole afternoon is shot. It takes a minimum of 2 hours for a ten minute appointment.

shopping.

period. for anything. houses and cars are worse, but grocery shopping is bad enough. clothes or shoe shopping are hell. i hate shopping.

I long for the days that my mom fed me and dressed me funny, and would still let her if iwas given that choice. My wife also hates shopping and has not stepped up to the plate to take over the role of keeping me adequately supplied with ill fitting unstylish clothes. It is the greatest flaw in our relationship :(
