SkinsHokieFan
Just bored this afternoon before heading out to play golf and I decided to check out the Baylor message board. What people need to realize is Baylor is right in the heart of Cowboys territory. Well it looks like we have a beach head there, as Baylor fans and alums absolutely love RG3 and will be supporting him for the next decade while in Washington Here is a link to their most active message board http://www.baylorfans.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=6 There is now a Redskins Thread Sorry Assassin. There is a new team in town. Count me as a convert. My joy in watching Baylor's first Heisman winner...and the class RGIII brought to the party...far and away trumps any affection I may have had remaining for Jerry Jones. If THAT guy is a Redskin, then hail to them. Change is life, and I want to cheer every minute of Robert's Hall of Fame career. Never really been a Cowboys fan, but never been Redskins fan either --- but, RG3 going to Washington will now make me one, and it'll be fun to watch my friends who are Baylor/Cowboys fans be caught in a bad situation come NFL game day. Here's to you! If RG3 goes to the 'Skins, I will be rooting for him and the 'Skins to win, including against the Cowboys. Grew up a Cowboys fan, but Jerry Jones is plastic-faced human feces, and Romo sits to pee is a douchebag. I can't hardly root for them anymore anyway. RG3 stands for much of what is right about Baylor, is an adamant Baylor promotor, and I hope he takes it to the world. Lifetime boys fan but I'M ALL IN. Hail to the Redskins!! I'm in. I like the Cowboys, but Baylor is my real sports passion and RG3 has done more for me than the Cowboys ever could. Awesome. Just awesome
tibbidoe
Wow... Behold the power of RGIII. Already converting Cowboy fans into logically thinking people!
LetThePointsSoar
Dig it. There are gonna be a remarkable amount of bandwagon fans from EVERYWHERE within the next 5 years when we start winning again. Hail to those who have wallowed through the last two decades and know how sweet it truly will feel.
SkinsHokieFan
If I am the front office, I would try and take advantage of this and try and convert more and more Baylor fans and alums Open up a Redskins store at Baylor

TSO
lol, how easy it is to convert one who has believed in falsehoods their whole lives! :pfft: Pretty cool stuff, though. Not sure if I exactly want those kind of flip floppers on the Skins, but hopefully they stay fans of the Skins no matter how bad it gets. Those of us who've been here all along and, even more, those of us who've believed the entire time and never subscribed to utterly redundant negativity deserve to enjoy this the most! TD_washingtonredskins
So RGIII's value extends beyond the field of play. Nice.

Darth Tater
Wow... Behold the power of RGIII. Already converting Cowboy fans into logically thinking people! Most of the Texas Cowboy fans aren't really fans in the sense that the word is a nickname for fanatic. Pull for my HS on Friday, my favorite college team on Saturdays (that's their football holy day) and for fun, I can pull for a team on Sundays after I go to church and before I hit the strip joint. That's cool. Whatever it takes to make our Redskin Nation stronger. Bonus points if it happens to piss off some Cowboy fans... haha
Voice_of_Reason
Woot. Hopefully the Baylor fans will follow their star QB to the 'Skins like Colt Brennan's did from Hawaii. Except, in this case, the QB isn't a 6th round development project, but a #2 overall franchise QB. Say what you want about the crazy Hawaii people, they were loyal fans. I'll take that any day of the week and TWICE on Sunday.
MrSilverMaC
Meh, they seem like a bunch of faithless douche bags to switch allegiance like that over a college player. But I guess that's to be expected by a bunch of fair-weather dallas fans to begin with.
88Comrade2000
I vote this the #1 thread after the trade.

SkinFaninOKC
Many people in OKC are Rams fans now because of Bradford. Could there be a bigger Skins contingency in Dallass next season?
jpillian
I've been a lurker at Baylorfans for a few years, though I only signed up there a few months back. The general sentiment is that many of their loyalties lie most closely with RG3, and so wherever RG3 goes, they'll be a fan of that team. I'm actually of the same opinion. I would have been a fan of really whatever professional team took him (though certainly still a Redskins fan regardless). The fact that it appears that he will be joining the Redskins makes it infinitely sweeter. BTW -- fun little fact for you. In an earlier thread, Burgold was arguing that the Redskins haven't had a true franchise QB since Slingin' Sammy Baugh. As some of you might know, Baugh was born in Temple, TX, about 30 minutes south of Waco. RG3 was raised about 30 minutes from Temple, in Coperas Cove. There's obviously something going on down here in Central Texas.
Boss_Hogg
We already have Redskins bars in Dallas, RG3 is just going to help us pluck more Turd fans from TX. www.dallasredskins.com
Darth Tater
People here cry about all the Cowboy fans at FedEx? Its got nothing on the old stadium in Irving, Every time I went there, even when the Cowboys were winning, there were a significant # of fans of the other team plus a bunch of wine and cheesers at a greater clip than you'll ever see at FedEx (and we've NEVER been good at FedEx).
