I thought now would be a good time to see what the majority is in Redskins land, on what we should do about the QB situation regarding the Draft or Free Agency.

I've taken many of the opinions and ideas from all the posts I personally have read & included them into this poll. If I missed your idea, than I apologize.

I will keep a top 30 rankings system, updated here on main page. (max possible for any poll)

I will rank them starting after 1000 votes total, to see where our fans stand on this issue. I will then continue to update poll, after every 1000 posts thereafter. That's a lot, but we can do it!

We have a bunch of fans and the more we can have participate in this poll, the better & more accurate ranking system we can have for the whole fan base. Thank you! :logo:

RANKINGS 1-30

537 VOTES CASTED as of Jan. 15th, 2012 (for now)

#1)Poll Option #5=39.31% of Redskins Nation want the Redskins to

Trade up to #2, but only if it's a reasonable offer from the Rams & draft RG3
(136 votes)

#2)Poll Option #4=36.99% of Redskins Nation want the Redskins to

Do everything we can, to trade up to #2 with the Rams & draft RG3
(128 votes)

#3)Poll Option #2=12.43% of Redskins Nation want the Redskins to

Try to trade up to #1, but only if it's a reasonable offer from the Colts & draft Luck
(43 votes)

#4)Poll Option #16=10.98% of Redskins Nation want the Redskins to

We need to try & trade down and gain extra draft picks, then take Ryan Tannehill
(38 votes)

#5)Poll Option #1=8.38% of Redskins Nation want the Redskins to

Do everything we can, to trade up to #1 with the Colts & draft Andrew Luck
(29 votes)

MORE RANKINGS COMING SOON!@!

Here will be the options, to vote on?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

#1) Do everything we can, to trade up to #1 with the Colts & draft Andrew Luck.

#2) Try to trade up to #1, but only if it's a reasonable offer from the Colts & draft Luck. Otherwise, just sit tight @#6.

#3) Do everything we can, to trade up to #1 with the Colts & draft RG3. (not Luck)

#4) Do everything we can, to trade up to #2 with the Rams & draft RG3.

#5)Trade up to #2, but only if it's a reasonable offer from the Rams & draft RG3. Otherwise, just sit tight @#6 & hope he drops to us.

#6) Sit tight @#6, no matter what. No reason to trade draft picks like the old regime would do, when we have other big needs to fill. We need to show patience.

#7) We need to sign Peyton Manning if he's available & healthy. Then maybe draft a QB in the later rounds, so he can sit & learn like Aaron Rodgers did.

#8) We need to sign Peyton Manning and draft RG3, if he's there @#6. he could sit and we would be set for years at the QB position.

#9) We must make a play for Matt Flynn. We need to do everything we can to land this QB within reason. He's a goldmine sitting behind Rodgers and we can get him.

#10) We need to try and trade for Matt Schaub. He already knows the system with Kyle in Houston and would be a huge upgrade over Grossman.

#11) We need to just stick it out with Rex Grossman and use the draft, on upgrading all the other positions.

#12) Lets trade with the Rams not for the #2 spot, but for Sam Bradford. Forget about the cap hits or whatever. We need to land this guy, plus Shanahan has said he loves this guy.

#13) Lets trade for Mark Sanchez. If the Jets don't want him, than we could get him for cheap now. We could get him now way cheaper than it was rumored, we were willing to trade up for to get him out of the draft.

#14) Lets roll with John Beck. He didn't get a fair chance. Draft best available player at #6 and improve the O-Line for him.

#15) We need to just draft Ryan Tannehill @#6 & live with that decision. We can't afford to take any kinds of chances.

#16) We need to try & trade down and gain extra draft picks, then take Ryan Tannehill.

#17) Forget trading up for Luck/RG3 & all that garbage. Tyler Wilson is the prospect we should be targeting. This guy is so underrated it's crazy.

#18) We need to QB, but lets wait till the 2nd round. A guy like Nick Foles or someone could be sitting there. He will be a great QB to tutor.

#19) Forget all you crazy rabid dogs wanting RG3 or Luck. The true QB in this draft, is Kellen Moore. This guy is a winner and could be had for a penny of the cost these other guys will be.

#20) We need to fight for Drew Brees. He will be a Free Agent and we can get him.

#21) We don't need a Franchise QB. We won 3 Super Bowls with 3 different QB's and we can do it again. What we need to do is address our O-line & other weaker positions and build that way. Just grab a guy & stick him under center.

#22) We need to trade for Jay Cutler. Shanahan drafted him & he would be perfect for what we need right now. Then we could draft what we want @#6.

#23) I don't like any of the QB's in this draft. We need to just draft smart & target Matt Barkley in the 2013 draft. We are in no hurry, to find our QB this season.

#24) We need to target Joe Webb. He's similar to RG3, but more established and pro ready now. We could get him way cheaper and not lose a bunch of draft picks.

#25) What about Jonathan Crompton? We got a guy on this team & we know nothing about him or what he can do. Why not let this guy play and have a chance?

#26) Lets just draft smart like last season & take a late flier on a QB in the mid to later rounds. No reason to risk the franchise on a QB or trading up for one, if you can't protect him or have the pieces around him to succeed. Just take one between rounds 4-7 & maybe get lucky.

#27) We need to trade for Tim Tebow. Denver doesn't want him & we can get him. He's a winner. Shanahan has worked with QB's before like Steve Young, etc & he would be the perfect prodigy for Shanahan.

#28) Lets go after Kyle Orton. He would be an upgrade over Grossman and not cost that much at all. We could then concentrate on what we need @#6 or maybe even trade down.

#29) Lets make a play for Alex Smith. He's proof, you only need a serviceable QB, if all other positions are good enough to win. He will be a Free Agent and will be cheap to get.

#30) Should have never got rid of Jason Campbell. He will be available as a free agent and we need to get this guy back here, if we can.

I'm not trying to sound like a jackwagon or anything, but there's no way I'm reading all those options lol...Hell, I thought even the thread title was too long to read :silly:...

On the contrary, this is much easier to read, too me 40 seconds, and have a better feel for what those 15 posts were and 900 pages about the different scenerios. I appreciate this summed up in one area.

Yeah, I'm with Califan. Wayyyyy too many choices, plus are you going to tally up all of the choices?

I'm also not entirely sure what this accomplishes, but cheers for your bravado.

I guess I'll go with # 5. We could also do more than one of these. Further, there are other threads about many of these.

My head hurts from all of this.

Much easier to read than what...a 900 page thread? Then, yep, you're right lol...

But it would be much easier to read a 10-option post with summaries like "Draft Kellen Moore", instead of a 30-post option where almost all of them are "Forget all you crazy rabid dogs wanting RG3 or Luck. The true QB in this draft, is Kellen Moore. This guy is a winner and could be had for a penny of the cost these other guys will be." :ols:

Same here.....my eyes hurt too. That is just too much. Is there a Cliff Notes version? :silly:

With that said it is #4 or bust.

Yea, I had to condense some wording in the actual polls, but I'll leave the actual main questions on main thread as I have it.

I know it's a lot and I've taken advantage of 30 poll options.

But after we get 1000's of votes, we will know what the fan base as a majority wants to do.

We will know who's crying after the draft and who isn't...

What does this accomplish, other than having a finger on what the fan base wants to do as a majority?

Well

A)I will have a rankings system updated every 1000 votes

B)We will get to compare what poll options I have VS what Shanahan and the Redskins staff do.

Do they listen to fans? Probably not obviously, but it can be fun anyways.

C)We will know what each individual feels about this topic and what side of the fence they're on.

I have allowed multi-voting for those that like many choices.

Thank you, everyone!

& HTTR!!

I voted Flynn, but I'll trust Shanny 4 almost anything. (trading up as long as its not as bad as Ditka, signing Flynn as long as its not a peyton or haynesworth deal, rex being our starter as long as there's an obvious heir apparent brought in this offseason.)

Would love for us to sign Flynn, shanny and allen work their trade down mojo like last draft, and we still get a qb who might turn into rothlisburger or rodgers late first round or later.

Starter going into training camp - Flynn

Vet backup - Rex

Future QB - whoever we draft

If we strike gold with flynn or the draftee, great! I like giving ourselves more chances.

Do any of those say "let Mike Shanahan deal with it"?

This is absolutely my feeling on it. Let Shanny decide what QB he wants to go with. Shanny may be throwing smoke about wanting RG3 for all we know. He knows what he wants in a QB and how he wants the offense to run.

Edit: I am not saying Shanny is blowing smoke, just saying it's his choice and not for me to stress over.
