Metro children with a toy this Christmas ASHBURN, Va. - The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation and the U.S. Marine Corps thank Redskins’ fans for making the 2011 Touchdown for Tots campaign the most successful to date. Redskins’ fans donated more than 1,380 toys (31 percent increase from 2010) and $41,009.80 (108 percent increase from 2010) at the Dec. 11 Redskins game at FedExField. An additional $1,940.31 and 494 toys were donated from Women of Washington Redskins (WOW) and Redskins Kids Club events, as well as from other local organizations. The toys and the funds collected allowed over 5,100 D.C. Metro area children to unwrap a gift Christmas morning.
