bushwack Posted December 19, 2011 Share Posted December 19, 2011 Once again I screw myself over for the 2nd year in a row vs. the same opponent in the semi's. I started Eli over Stafford, who only scored 40 more points. I also started Titans D/ST over Seahawks D/ST, which cost me 31 points. Also on my bench were C.J. Spiller, while Jordy Nelson & Fitzgerald did nothing today. Also had Celek on the bench. My bench scored 135.9 points, while my team scored 120.8 points. I've made the wrong decision 5 weeks in a row between Eli & Stafford. I lost 4 out of those 5 weeks, and in the long run if I could see into the future between those 2 I would still be undefeated and playing for a league championship next week. There are some friggin stud TEs in the league now. Celek. Hernandez. Gronkowski. Graham. Pettigrew. Witten. Davis. Gates. Gresham. Chances are not great. I guessed wrong with all my marginal players leaving a lot of points on the bench, and Gronkowski had a very quiet week even with the Pats scoring 41 points. Roy Helu- Last 4 weeks(Touches: 30, 27, 29, 26; Points: 21, 18, 12, 6) Questionable, should play, facing Vikes #21 run D. Love his touches per game over the last 4. Chris Johnson- Last 4 weeks(Touches: 24, 24, 16, 23; Points: 17, 27, 6, 10) Questionable, should play, facing Jags #11 run D. Could have a big game if the Titans get up early. Mike Turner- thinking I’m going to hold off on him until next week, Falcons might not be running much if they fall behind NO early. Julio Jones- coming off 2 big weeks, 22 and 14 points, just don’t think I can play him over these other guys this week. Starting WRs: Jordy Nelson- don’t think I can bench him. He’s their #1 receiver right now, coming off a terrible game. I think they light Chicago up. Brandon Marshall- playing a weak NE defense, Miami will be throwing a lot if they fall behind. Last time he played NE in week 1: 7 catches for 139 yds. He could have a huge game if he catches a TD or 2. So what are your thoughts? Who’s my flex guy? Agree with my starters? Would definitely go with helu. Cj has a ankle injury didn't practice yesterday and last time he went vs jax he had 24 rushing yards. Also, Beanie Wells, Mike Tolbert or Kahlil Bell in a flex spot. I was gonna start Wells but Cinci's defense is stout against the run. Tolbert seems to get some production no matter what and he's usually the goal line RB. Kinda going back and forth betweeen those two. One point PPR. Jones and Helu are banged up. I don't really like the sound of Jackson on the road against the Steelers run defense, plus I'm sure the Rams will be playing from behind and throwing a lot. Spiller?
