The 12th Commandment
Col Potter... Bill Gannon and countess lesser but important parts in dozens of westerns and great movies from the 50 and 60's in particular. What a familiar face. He entertained and that must have been a goal so he was unqualified success.
Jumbo
RIP, Harry. You were awesome. But he was equally well-known (at least among those over 40 or so) as Joe Friday's partner Bill Cannon on the landmark (and still-unique) cop series "Dragnet." PCS
I remember when I read that Harry Morgan was going to be starring on MASH. I was happy with that news as I remembered him from Dragnet and several family favorite movies,(Support your local sheriff for one). I of course will always be a bit biased towards his role on MASH. RIP and God bless Harry.
thebluefood
When I was a kid, my folks and I would watch M*A*S*H reruns on TV. I thought Col. Potter was a great foil to Hawkeye. RIP, Harry Moragn.
