RTerps2002
Like I said all offseason he will not get the record this season I am going to remind all of you of this every Monday..... His half a sack is a joke Wynn should have gotten that one.
JetSolo
He'll cost the skins a win or two in the meantime due to his free wheeling with little regard for stopping the run. Snyder is probably the only person in the skins organization that doesn't know he's washed up. Or perhaps he does know, but places too high a priority in a redskin breaking a record with national noteriety.
Riggo-toni
As sad as this may be to say, he is still our best (only) pass rusher on the line.... by far.
RTerps2002
What is sad is we could have had Michael Barrow the same offseason for about half the money we gave his old ass
Oneknee
He is brutal. Isn't there an over 40 league in the Metro area??? I bet he could dominate.
JMac
Does anyone else notice how long it takes him to get down and ready for the play. Way too many times the Giants hiked the ball before his old butt even got down in his stance and he was blown off the ball. Im ready to see L. Jackson and Upshaw some more. I also think Haley played good yesterday
Art
Terps, Here's the deal. You and I are going to bet $1,000 on whether Smith gets the record or not. How's that sound? If it doesn't sound good, I promise, you won't be reminding anyone of this every Monday, because if you don't have convictions then you're going to stay quiet. Also, may I ask why you're being such a little twerp after this game?

NBlue
Not sure we were watching the same game, but I thought Bruce Smith was just about the only pass rush the Skins had in the game. There was one play in particulr where he burst through a double team in the late 3rd or 4th quarter causing Collins to make a poor, quick throw. He also drew a holding penalty (though it was a questionable call imo). Does he take himself out of position for the run on occasion? Definitely. Would I rather have KGB? Umm, duhhhh. But I think some of the Smith bashing this year is unfounded.

RTerps2002
Art whatever you wanna do.... I will up it to 10,000$ that is if you can cover it... You can Pm me and I will give you my phone number... The only way Smith gets the record is if Farve lays down for him like he did for Stranah,,, Do we play green bay? Storm
Bruce was the only defensive lineman who was putting any pressure on Collins yesterday. On top of that Lavar and him seem to be the emotional leaders of that defense. I wasnt too unhappy with his play yesterday. There must be a reason L Jackson isnt in there. Honestly the only time hes actally played well has been in preseason. He didnt do much in the regular season (when he was active) last year. Phat Hog
He'll have the record by the end of this season... but I don't think it will happen until the end of the 2nd half of the season.
TD_washingtonredskins
I agree...how can you think that Bruce won't set the record?? He'll do it and he'll continue to lead our D this year.

As far as Bruce goes, I haven't been a huge fan of his since he has been here, but this season he is one of the only gues getting pressure (although it doesn't happen THAT often). Its a LOCK he gets the record this year...
Leonard Washington
bruce has played fine. he has been better than usual against the run and he is the best pass rush we got outside lavar.
laurent
You're clearly confused RTerps. First you wonder why Bruce Smith didn't know the snap count and now you'd rather have Michael Barrow, a LINEBACKER nevermind you, in his place... jaxskins
Nothings wrong with Bruce Smith, yea hes getting older and on the downside of his career but you can't replace his leadership and experience and he helps this team more than just on the field. He'll get his sack record this year no doubt in my mind.
Awesome
Wasn't this supposed to be the year that Bruce was a pass-rush specialist and only played in passing situations. From what I could tell, he played the whole game, every single snap.
Mad Mike
Bruce has been the leader of the defense this year. His speech to the team was credited as one of the reasons we came form behind vs Atlanta. Yes he is past his prime. get over it. He is still the best pass rushing lineman we have, and if we had one more just like him on the other side we would be getting a bunch of sacks. Bottom line. He can't do it all by himself but he will get the record. RTerps2002: A fool and his money are soon parted. Jetsolo: I have yet to see one post by you that is grounded in reality. Maybe you should go back to ganggreen and talk about how great Pennington is and how the Jets are going to the superbowl next year. :jerkoff:
Kornheiser
Riggo-toni said it all Bruce Smith is THE BEST D-LINEMAN on the team. So I'd begin my complaints elsewhere. I'll parley that bet, that not only will you lose it but no money will be paid on it. So how about we do a avatar bet instead. Bruce breaks the record & you wear a "Ass Jester" avatar labelled "I doubted Bruce" for the rest of the season. (that way if you're close to being right you only wear it a few weeks, but if your way off you'll wear it over half the season, it's nicely incremented) Finally say what you want about Bruce he did NOT... get double penalties on 3&29 that led to a Giants TD. end 2 drives 1&10 around the 20 with a penalties & a FG. Art
Korny, Money will be paid on it if it's made. Both RTerps and I will be required to submit the bet total immediately into a PayPal account that neither of us has access to, thereby keeping the money available to the winner and negating any chance of either person failing to come through on it.
