Welcome to FedEx Field where in the NFL, the Commish wants to expand the regular season but the Redskins have seemingly expanded the Pre Season.

A quick recap on how the Skins got to where they're at. After having survived up to their early Bye Week without a major injury, fate kicked them in the ass. Interceptus Rex showed up after the Bye and completed more passes to the Eagles then he did to his teammates. Rex was yanked during the second half for media hit sensation that still hadn't done anything, John Beck. Beck came in tough but then started moving the chains. He even ran for and scored a touchdown. It was enough to have gotten him the start the following week at Carolina. During that same week, Rexus Maximus came down with pneumonia. So, even when Beck attempted to break former Skins QB Patrick Ramsey's most sacked in a game record, Rex wasn't even available to repay the week's before benching and come in for Beck. Whatever anyone thought Beck (playing behind a patch work O Line) had was obviously not there after the Panthers tee'd off on him seemingly at will. He appeared rattled and lost the following week against the Bills where he couldn't even direct the team into the endzone. The following week, Beck still couldn't get the job done against the 49ers, but Rex was healthy enough to start running the Scout Team. Rex then was announced shortly before kickoff in Miami as the the starting QB, ending Beck's hope of ever winning a game as the Redskins QB.

Now, let's take a look at just how banged up this squad really is, starting with the guys on IR.

10/17/2011 Kory Lichtensteiger G torn right ACL, MCL

10/25/2011 Chris Cooley TE broken left index finger, left knee

10/25/2011 Tim Hightower RB torn left ACL

11/05/2011 Phillip Buchanon CB neck, knee

11/15/2011 Leonard Hankerson WR torn labrum right hip

11/15/2011 Kedric Golston DT knee

And now the guys that are probable, meaning barring a set back, they should be ready to go today.

11/20/2011 Oshiomogho Atogwe S toe, knee Probable for Sun 11/20.

11/20/2011 Tashard Choice RB hamstring Probable for Sun 11/20.

11/20/2011 Reed Doughty S chest Probable for Sun 11/20.

11/20/2011 London Fletcher LB ankle Probable for Sun 11/20.

The questionable/game time decision guys are as follows:

11/20/2011 Jammal Brown T groin questionable for Sun 11/20.

11/20/2011 Maurice Hurt G shoulder questionable for Sun 11/20.

11/20/2011 LaRon Landry S Achilles* questionable for Sun 11/20.

11/20/2011 Sean Locklear T ankle questionable for Sun 11/20.

And ruled out so far is

11/20/2011 Keyaron Fox LB infection out for Sun 11/20.

Cornerback Kevin Barnes adding to his single-season career- high total in interceptions (two).

Defensive end Adam Carriker adding to his career-high total in sacks. He currently has 4.5.

Nose tackle Barry Cofield adding to his existing career-high to- tal in passes defensed. He currently has six, which leads the NFL for defensive tackles.

Tight end Fred Davis improving on his career-high 587 receiving yards for a season, which are third-most in the NFL by a tight end.

Linebacker London Fletcher extending the longest consecutive starts streak among active linebackers to 173 and extending his consecutive games played streak to 217, tied for the most among non- specialists.

Kicker Graham Gano tying John Hall (2003) and Mark Mose- ley (1977) for the most field goals of 50-plus yards in a single season (four) with his next 50-plus-yard field goal.

Running back Roy Helu improving on his 29 receptions, which lead all rookie running backs in the NFL.

Kerrigan forcing his fifth fumble to tie Ken Harvey (1995) and Bruce Smith (2000) for second-most forced fumbles in a season in team history, according to STATS, INC.

Punter Sav Rocca improving on his 39 punts this season without a touchback. He is one of only two NFL punters with at least 35 punts to not have a touchback during the 2011 season.

Rocca chasing Matt Turk’s franchise record for net punting aver- age (39.2). Rocca is currently averaging 40.8 net yards per punt.

Running back Ryan Torain reaching 1,000 rushing yards for his career with one more yard.

Cornerback Josh Wilson recording the 10th interception of his career. He currently has nine.

The Redskins having a fourth different player post 100 receiving yards in a game this season, which would be the first time the team has done so since 1998 (Albert Connell, Stephen Davis, Leslie Shepherd, and Michael Westbrook). Fred Davis, Leonard Hankerson and Roy Helu all have 100-yard receiving games this season.

TK,

Fred Davis is a full go? I thought I had heard he was banged up/questionable? Guess not?

Also, who are our starting wideouts? Gaffney and Armstrong?

Gonna be another 12 pack day....by halftime. lol

Davis had been tweeting like he's ready to go. We'll see.

I'm thinking they should have an open bar today in the press box.......

This could be the type of game we actually eff up & win, which then costs us a QB inthe Draft.

We win, we loose. We loose, we win. Ugh.

Had the same thoughts last night---and you can bet the Dallas fans would be writhing too if that happens. The plus side would be the Giants may get inspired by such and the 'boyz start a slide that costs them a div title (that's how much i hate dallas). :)

It's really a matter of how you choose to look at it. Either we get a win vs Dallas, or a higher pick.

Win-Win. I could find pleasure in either, just hope the game is semi-competitive.

Nice OP, btw. A ton of info there, even if some of the records aren't exactly positive.

I think win or lose, the important thing is that we come up with some kind of drinking game to make it through this one.

I've already suggested they have an open barin the press box for this one. :)

And play the Benny Hill theme song in an infinate loop. :ols:

You know I've come to the conclusion that the redskins are really cursed. Anybody ever think that maybe when we built fed ex field on that Indian reservation and then with our name not changing that maybe we really are cursed. Dan Snyder really needs to think of changing the name or doing something for the people that cursed us, maybe he can talk to those people and give them a piece of the franchise or something. Some type of payoff, because I really believe we are cursed. Just think every good player gets hurt. Jarvis Jenkins, Hankerson starts to look good and then gets hurt. Lichtensteiger looks good then gets hurt, same thing with LL last year and this year. We need to petition Dan Snyder to help the Indian Reservations,

I'm confused why everyone is blaming Gano, when it was Shanahan elected to kick an even longer field goal than the one that he already missed, rather than punting and trying to pin them deep and play defense. Instead, Shanahan gave Dallas a short field and they moved the ball and surprise, we lost the game...I can't believe these dudes get paid what they do with the **** choices they make...sad.

An NFL kicker should make 1 out of 2 of those long kicks. If he had done that, they would have won the game (granted we don't know for certain that the scoring would have played out the same after the one he missed in regulation). The point is, be a man - validate the teams efforts and give the them and the fans a shot in the arm by kicking the thing through the uprights to win the game. Instead he's just another cog in this machine of mistakes and dissapointment. I didn't expect any different but it would be nice to be surprised once in awhile.

NFL kickers are famous for how flakey they are. If he missed from 49 why ask he to go kick a 51 yarder? It's the reason that if Gano isn't the lowest paid player on the team I'm sure he is close. Team go through kickers like water. The defense is the best unit we have. If Shanahan wanted to win he would have punted an pinned them deep, I'm convinced that he could care less abut the win and at this point draft position is more important....in that regard we agree. This loss is easy for me to take because I have hopes for the future.

Heck of a game fellas. Skinz, IMO, played very well. Was on this board last week and read some crazy things about how the Skinz would lose by double digits and worse. This game has never gone according to the numbers and this one was no exception. Your team played well. Well enough to win.
