newage_hog
BF3 for me mainly because of the team based game play, vehicles, destructible environment and graphics. I prefer sim over run and gun.
matty dread
MW3 does the same old, same old you've come to expect. It's MW2 with new maps and some minor changes to the killstreaks. Nothing revolutionary. If you want a different experience, and to me a deeper and more satisfying one, it's BF3 all the way.
skinsfan07
COD >>> BF3 In Battlefield, it seems like all people do is camp with snipers. Lame AF. You want fast paced action, get COD. You won't be disappointed that's for sure. Also BF runs hella slow and there are mad bigs they are still trying to fix with it.
mattsb84
depends on how you like to play Only post that makes sense in this thread. The only things these two games share is that they are fps and they are military games. They play completely differently. This is personal preference and no one here can tell you which is better. Go rent both and decide for yourself.

Only reason it seems like that is because you COD guys run right out in the open trying to drop 20 kills rambo style. And you wonder why you get picked off. I rarely get picked off by snipers, if at all. Learn how to play before you criticize.
sportjunkie07
it doesnt seem a lot has changed with the series war. COD remains ice cream and cake BF remains steak dinner. theyre both good in their own right.

matty dread
Ok first off, I have to admit I'm enjoying MW3. Once you accept it for what it is... MW2 with new maps and some very minor changes... it's still a fun game. That said, a year in development and this was all they could come up with? Wow, talk about skating by on your reputation. Next year they better seriously step up their game, because if we get Black Ops 1.5 they can forget about getting my $60.

Hopefully MW2.5 and it's limited growth has something to do with the 720 and other next gen consoles seemingly being around the corner.
ncr2h
Just wanted to chime in - I only have BF3 and havent played a COD since COD3. I have to say that, at least on the PC, the whole "teamwork" aspect is overblown. A lot of people are saying that BF3 is team-based. It's not really. There's no VOIP (i.e. in-game voice chat with other players), so you can't communicate with your squad or team other than by clogging up the chat box. There are workarounds, but I'm not interested in downloading voicechat clients and learning how they work just so I can use a feature that should already be in my game. I mean - how well can you play as a team if you can't communicate as a team? Anyway, just my thoughts.
Drew_Fl
On BF3 there is squad voice chat and public voice if you want on consoles. I don't have a good enough computer to run it so that's the only experience I have. It is definitely a team based game if you want to, ya know, win. Anyway, just my thoughts. For years there haven't been any ingame VoIP on PC shooters. No one used them. Vent and teamspeak are much better options. A perk of being on a PC is that you don't have to use a crappy in game chat system. Find a group of people or a clan and play with them. People on the PC rarely go into a server by themselves. You're behind. Catch up. Most popular PC servers will also have a graphic or information somewhere with the vent or TS information posted.
gortiz
is is safe to say that MP for bf3 is more tactical and more for adults and MP for mw3 is more for run and gunning and kids and young adults that like to say the N word a lot (CAN'T STAND THAT)? Destructis
Then I stand corrected. And 1942 is my favorite. My favorite was Vietnam many years ago. Even with all the issues, it was just downright fun. ---------- Post added November-11th-2011 at 02:00 PM ---------- is is safe to say that MP for bf3 is more tactical and more for adults and MP for mw3 is more for run and gunning and kids and young adults that like to say the N word a lot (CAN'T STAND THAT)? I would agree with that statement.

True, but on the consoles you will find plenty of annoying kids in both.
