Drunken Master III
I am trying to decide between the two games. Heck, I might just get both. I did not buy BF2 but thought it was a decent game. I own both MW2 and Black Ops. How do the graphics, multiplayer, campaign, and fun factor stack up?
TTViper
BF3 has better gameplay, graphics, and a campaign that blows away any of the previous COD campaigns. It is also cheaper. No $50 subscription required. MW3 will have a better social aspect. More people I know will be Playing the game, and the COD multiplayer system is better for casual gamers playing with their friends. Sticksboi05
.... Battlefield 3 has a superior game engine but it runs slower and is choppier because it is made for super PC's. MW3's engine is dated but runs at a smooth 60 frames per second. Multiplayer is a toss up. They both went to extreme lengths to improve their respective systems. BF3 has the better single player mode. It depends on whether or not you want a war simulation or a run around shooter. Different styles. Also, the $50 is optional. Only game geeks would really be interested.

Drunken Master III
From what I have been hearing, it seems like overall BF3 is the better game. Most have said that the single player for MW3 is great compared to BF3's.

G.A.C.O.L.B.
It depends on whether or not you want a war simulation or a run around shooter. Different styles. Which one is the war sim and which one is the shooter? Probably a dumb question but as I explained in the PS3/360 thread last night, I'm really playing catch up with gaming these days. S.T.real,lights,out
If you want to run and gun and listen too kids saying the F word all the time get COD. If u want to play as a team and you have a few guys you can play with in a squad, and you want to fly choppers, jets and drive tanks get BF. Honestly tho, it all depends on what you like doing. Smaller maps, lots of kills get COD. Huge maps, more options on how to play the game get BF.

Oh, and I'd get BF3 if you already have any previous COD for the next gen consoles.

Good point, but even if you like one more than the other, it's fair to say both are good games as opposed to this is awesome, that has nothing good about it. Drunken Master III
Ended up getting both games yesterday... both are borderline good to great in my opinion. The graphics on BF3 are stunning. Had a good time playing Rush for an hour or two. I played MW3 with lowered expectations. K!ll confirm was a brilliant idea. Being able to confirm and deny k!lls is a change of pace from the normal TDM. Its definitely my favorite game type as of now.
MonkFan8
Once I got over the amazing BF3 graphics I remembered why I could never get into the BF series. Granted, I never played a CoD game before Black Ops either, but the games are much more similar to Counter Strike, which is what I look for in a shooter. I prefer fast paced gameplay where I can out aim my opponent, so I prefer MW3.
Drunken Master III
I think that the two games compliment each other if you will. On one end you have a large scale battle. On the other you have a fast paced run and gvn. I will say that the k1ll confirm mode in MW3 is money. Its like TDM without campers since you have to confirm your k1lls or deny opponents k1lls by picking up dog tags.
TTViper
The opinions you're listening to are pretty clearly biased. I've played these games since 1942 and CoD. I've competed on a professional level in both series, in multiple games of each. I've played both series more than I'd like to admit. I love both of them. ---------- Post added November-9th-2011 at 11:54 AM ---------- Once I got over the amazing BF3 graphics I remembered why I could never get into the BF series. I am the same way. My first experience with multiplayer online was counter strike, so I guess it was like my first love, if you will. I'm much more a fan of the run and gun. Personally the gameplay for MW3 feels really smooth and that is enjoyable. I guess it is that 60 frames per second rate. Anyways, my vote is for MW3. I just have never been able to get into the BF series, but I understand why some enjoy it.
Drew_Fl
Battlefield 3: You can drive a tank You can fly a chopper and be the gunner You can drive a humvee You can drive a weaponized rugged go-kart You can Base Jump You can fly a Fighter Jet You can play as a team and revive, give ammo, and spot enemies. If you replace "can" with "can't" in all of the above, you pretty much have COD. edit: i'm not saying COD is a bad game at all and I've definitely played my fair share of MW and MW2. However, the COD game that came out on Tuesday has been out since 2007 in my mind. Just tweaking kill streaks and new maps. COD series does have great game mechanics and smooth play that gives a great time though.
