GTA V ( 9/17/2013 ) - Character trailers out

I thought GTA 4 was a little too boring. Go here, shoot these guys, escape the cops - over and over. They took a lot of the fun out of what you usually find in the GTA games.

I remember finding a gun in the back of an alley, fired it once just to try it out, and I already had 1 star. Plus the constant cell phone calls were annoying too. Hopefull Rockstar has listened to the complaints about GTA 4 and addressed them.

Saints Row 3 looks like it's going to be great.

Need more weapons

Need more badass land/sea/air vehicles

Need more Third World Chaos

Need more humor

Need more **** to do (non storyline side missions/rampages/hidden packages)

Need less non-repetitive missions, and overall non-repetitiveness in general .

Size of the game/realism/graphics are of no concern to me this time around. GTA IV whored everyone off of that.

Vice City> everything else.

Ray Liotta

Danny Trejo

Philip Michael Thomas

Luis Guzman

Tom Sizemore

Dennis Hopper

Gary Busey

Jenna Jameson

That cast ( along with others ) to me, is what separates Vice City from the others. You really felt like you were in Miami circa 1985. Plus I thought there was way more humor/violence in Vice City. That game was awesome.

Sin, I wish they would come out with it for 360 or PS3. I'd play that for hours.

Yup, if you're talking about a reboot or a revamp like GTA IV, I'd be all over that ****. I've been beating that drum fo years. Vice City (with updated music, more radio stations, more weapons, all new star studded cast/storyline, better clothing options, cars, etc) on a PS3/X360 engine would Kick. Ass.

Alright, big question.

If it is in DC, do you think they'd have a mission where you'd kill a major politician/president? I know that would be pushing the boundary/crossing the line, but there are two things pointing to that-

1. Rockstar likes to toe/step over the line.

2. As unpatriotic as it would be, that mission would be effin sick. It'd be like one guy fighting an all out war. Shoot, reminds me of that one mission in Vice City where you steal a tank. That was one of the best.

I hope that by "updated music" you mean just adding some more songs to the soundtrack, and not replacing any from the original game.

Because I'd say that Vice City maybe has the best video game soundtrack that you could ask for (obviously not including original music soundtracks like in a Zelda game or something).

Vice City is the best of the series though, for sure. I still have nightmares about that freaking bank robbery mission, where you have to assemble the team of guys (which was hard enough on its own, especially the guy you had to race to get him to be your driver), and then you have to escape the police with 4 or 5 stars.

Vice City was good especially the great 80's soundtrack, but San Andreas is still my favorite. Being able to fly the planes, drive to the Hoover dam & Vegas, and skydive was pretty cool. I still dust off my copy of San Andreas on occasion and explore the game....I always seem to find something new while playing it.

I might need to buy this one and get a new console. :)

Like others have said, imo there is no way in hell that you are killing the President, or probably even any politician that even remotely resembles anyone in real life. I however, could definitely envision a mission where you are sought out by some corrupt politician who's fed up with some political talk radio hack constantly giving him grief and stirring **** up.

That would be cool. It could be a three part mission like in GTA IV with the lawyer, where you make a threat over the radio only for him to laugh his ass off, then send something to his house, etc etc until you actually either a) dig up some dirt on him or B) kill him outright. Houser and co. would have to tread carefully on that as well, depending on how the radio personality is depicted, because I'm pretty sure that everyone in this thread knows the first guy that would come to mind.

Yeah, that was badass. There were a lot of very good 2-3 part missions in that game. Copland comes to mind, where you sneak into the mall that barricaded off by the police, wearing cop uni's and bomb the hell out of the coffee shop, as well as pretty much all o fthe missions for the porn director.

As for the music, yeah, I'd say that the VC soundtrack is a no contest, as well as the talk radio stations (that is some of the funniest **** I've ever heard anywhere). If it were a reboot, it would almost have to be all new songs, but let;s be honest, there is a ton of music to choose from from that era. I remember when I used to steal that Seaplane and fly over the ocean/skyline, listening to Broken Wings. Epic.

Jesus that was tough. That took lots of strategy and ate up much of my time racing that guy. That was back when I was single and didn't have kids. I would get off work and play Vice City for hours. Wouldn't change things now, but damn I had lots of free time back then. :ols:

Broken Wings was the best! I used to drive around South Beach in the Lambo playing that. It was especially cool when it'd start raining while that was playing.

That has to be one of the hardest missions/levels in recent console video game history. I had to re-do that mission so many times, I just about quit the game.

I ended up beating it by running around on foot (the cops had trashed all of my getaway cars- side note: was there ANYTHING more frustrating than trying to get into another car, and while doing so really slowly, a cop car comes up and rams you?), and I was running along through these bushes by the bay, and I super randomly stumbled upon a mini-helicopter that was just sitting there.

Why it was there, I didn't know, but I got in and was able to fly away just in time and basically screw around in the air until my star ratings dropped and I could safely get away. Luckiest/most random way I've ever beaten anything in a video game.
