why is Cooley done because he hurt his knee and took a bad hit to his hand. Bum knee equalled lack of seperation and decreased production...if anyone can rehab it's Cooley.

Fred Davis is our only offensive weapon and Cooley is done.

Someone in New York once said this about a guy named John Riggins

For everyone declaring Cooley done, nearly all players take 2 years to regain full speed after a knee injury. Wes Welker is a freak exception. Everyone thought Trotter was done after his first year post-injury. We cut him...and he made the Pro Bowl going back to Philly.

Cooley is not done, and if you don't think you can create some great mismatches having 2 solid TEs, you obviously haven't been watching NE this year.

For ACL tears it's usually two years, that's not what Cooley has. If it doesn't progress on it's own with time and rest he will be looking at microfracture surgery. He was slowing down some already, it remains to be seen but I think he's definitely done being a top TE. Too many bigger, more athletic guys out there, his days as a starter are likely done.

Nathan Fenno on twitter is reporting "#Redskins TE Fred Davis has walking boot on left leg. Stayed in weight room until media departed locker room."

As if our game couldn't be worse. I hope Fred is okay.

he has to be ...

he has to be ...

Fred Davis In Walking Boot As Washington Redskins Injury Woes Continue

By Chuck Carroll on October 31, 2011 - 12:02 pm

Fred Davis had a walking boot on his left leg Monday at Redskins Park.

Injuries continue to mount for the Washington Redskins offensive starters.

Tight end Fred Davis had a walking boot on his left leg.

The exact nature of his injury, and whether it was sustained in the team’s 20-0 loss to the Buffalo Bills, is unknown.

He had eight catches for 94 yards on Sunday.

Davis’ injury compounds the loss of Chris Cooley who was placed in injured reserve last week.

Davis is the Redskins leading receiver. He has 36 catches for 517 yards and two scores this season.

On the other side of the ball linebacker Rocky McIntosh also had a heavily wrapped right ankle during Monday’s open locker room session.
