I was assaulted

First let me say, I have in all honestly had 15+ concussions in my life. See a doctor, concussions are nothing to scoff at. Second, to hell with these guys, you're trying to do right by these guys that could have killed you? After the concussions that I've had, I have a very poor short term memory, I suffer from migraines, I have vision problems at times, and I still get dizzy spells. This is something that you could have to deal with w/o correct medical help. With this said, the 3 guys that did this to you, do you still believe they deserve to get away with it?

Guys, as foolhardy as he's been with his health, I'm sure the poor kid must be **** scared both of what's happened and any possible recriminations if he spoke to anyone, which is doubtless why he hasn't. Not to mention he's probably still disorientated and not thinking straight.

The last thing he needs is to come back on here and see a barrage of questions so let's cut him some slack huh?

Let's just hope he's now gone to an ER and will be brave enough to follow everything through with them and the police.

Hail.

I think the dumb rap music ( stop snitching ) has played a role in many young peoples lives ( as well as myself at your age ) THE HECK WITH THOSE GUYS SOUNDS LIKE THEY TRIED TO KILL YOU!!!

1. Go to ER

1. Report them!!!!

Wish you luck my man, and things to get sorted out...

I think it's pretty much all been said at this point. I'm just trying to figure out why in the world someone wouldn't report this. Most incidents like this aren't completely unprovoked. Something tells me frat A and frat B get into a lot of arguments and they end up devolving into stupidity like this. I'm not saying you provoked it OP, but this seems very odd. There's no reason you shouldn't report it. And I hope you aren't planning on getting a posse of your frat brothers to attack the other kids. Just end it before it gets out of control. No one who beats you within an inch of your life, and trust me that's what head injuries can do, should get away with this.

FWIW man, and for future reference to everyone, if you ever get concussed again, get it checked out regardless. Even if your feeling fine when you come to, and then the next day, you NEVER know what damage may of been done under the surface. Head injuries, let alone concussion, are/ is not something to be taken lightly.

Hail.

Concussions don't go away in 24-hours, by the way.

Well I could be wrong then. I know I went to our student health center because it felt like a concussion, they gave me a couple of tests and told me it was a concussion and told me what I needed to do (along with a note for my roommate about what I should do, because he's the one that brought me over) and by the next night I felt fine. Now this was 8 years ago, so I could very easily be forgetting things, but that's how it went for me. I probably had slower reaction for a few days, and some other side effects, but it happened on a Friday night so I didn't have classes or anything for a few days to really test my abilities.

Looking back, you guys are right. I probably should have gone to the hospital for real tests, but I knew better than to drive, my roommate didn't have a driver's license, and I felt better pretty quick.

At the risk of being considered less manly, I would suggest that you do not physically retaliate. Even though these three may be cowards (attacking one guy). Get your head checked out. If TV has taught me anything, it has taught me that they would probably have to report this beating to the authorities. You should co-operate with the police and give them the information they require to do their jobs. I don't care what you may have done, you did not deserve this beating (outside of attacking mothers, girlfriends, sisters, etc) These guys should be held accountable for their actions. On a side note, it has been a couple of days since the incident and you did not indicate if the check on you at all. Obviously these scumbags feel no remorse for what they did to you, so you can stop worrying about their futures.

What should I do? I don't want to go to the police, as I know the three perps, and this would most definitely end their college careers. However, I have never felt worse. I do not know who to tell and haven't gone to see a doctor or told anyone in my family. Any advice would be appreciated.

What should you do? (1) See a doctor and (2) end those ****** ****ing college careers. People who would do something like that need to be dealt with.

i hope the reason that you haven't sought medical attention or the police is b/c the head injuries have ruined your judgement. that said, take care of both things ASAP. after reading all these replies and you do nothing to take care of this, it's on you. not trying to be a jerk, but that's just reality. you know what you need to do, so do it. life isn't always easy or fair but if you don't take care of yourself no one else will.

Follow the advice of everyone in this thread.

Also, only two reasons that you wouldn't have involved the cops by now:

1) Your head injuries are effecting your judgement

or

2) There is another part of the story you left out.

Either way, get the police involved.

I was amused to learn that DJ Yella is now one of the largest producers of black porn in the States a few weeks back. It kinda' didn't shock or surprise me, lol.

Hail.

:ols: Well he was the DJ and wound up ( honestly ) not having much talent to go solo. not corrupting a young mind is better. I've been through all this and its CRAP how the younger generation falls on every word and somehow thinks they can put it in real life ( not saying you op ). at least the old school stuff you could take lightly...

Looks like the OP took the good advice from ES, I hope...

You left out option 3). He's scared ****less and traumatised by the beating, and probably fears repercussions of the same or worse if he tells on these low life POS. Poor kids only 22. Heck knows what he's been going through since Saturday, aside from his injuries.

Hail.

True.

I should have included that option. My bad.

The frat that lives next door to mine. Not gonna say the names though.

I got jumped by a frat at school and was in the same situation, I waited to long before I called the cops, by then they had their stories together and there was nothing I could do.

Go to the hospital, and have them call the cops so you can file a report, screw thse guys.

Exactly, after i got jumped I didn't know what to do, I didnt want the frat to keep coming after me, looking back it was one of the dumbest decisions I could have made. These dudes should have paid fr my hospital and dental bills, unfortunately I am still paying for them.

Don't let these pricks get off, trust me I've been there and done this.

They're in a frat, not the cartel. **** them and their college 'careers'. Obviously they're a bunch of douche bags and all the world needs is for people like that to think they can do that kind of **** and face no repercussions.

Not to mention the fact you may have suffered serious, possibly permanent injuries.

Call the cops and go to the hospital, explain the reason you waited to report it was out of fear for your well being.

Go to the hospital NOW!

After you are cleared, PM me the names and location

:chair::box:

If that's to primitive for you, call the police but DO NOT let these bullies get away with what they have done. They will do it again, guaranteed. and the next person may be hurt even more severely than you. It has to stop with someone, make that someone you.

I'll never fully understand some of you.

You require medical attention & instead of going to a professional, you'd rather start a thread here about Gee what should I do?

This ain't WebES.

Feel free to start an update thread when you get back from a hospital & have filed charges against the three idiots that did this to you.
