Thanks for this, Bang, it's much needed.

I'm actually ok with how our offense played. We definitely need to improve, but it's not as bad as people are making it. Our biggest issue is we don't have anyone to stretch the field right now, period. We miss Armstrong bad, because at the very least he forces defense to respect him deep. Right now, our offense is moving the ball exclusively on intermediate and short passes along with a solid running game. Armstrong opens up the offense for us.

And how about that defense!?

Both lines played well. And we ARE mauling QB's.

Let's not forget about mulling the punt receivers as well...hahahahaha ;):)

We're undefeated at FedEx Field.

And if that trends continues we WILL be in the playoffs! :D

WHAT???

No. This cannot be.

Kerrigator

Hari Kerri

KerriGUN

I'd even settle for Kerramel Nougat.

But NO KERR BEAR.

Man, you couldn't have come up with a worse one,, except "Kerrigan the Pansy".

Maybe.

Please. No Kerr Bear.

However, in keeping with the postive vibe requirement.. KerrigonnamessyouUP is loking like a bonafide DROY candidate.

Excellent pick. Excellent.

LOL. I kinda like it. It is, after all, MINE. But in deference to my brother's request...I will henceforth cease and desist.

The second Torain gets the ball in his hands, the field noticably tilts downhill.

He PUNISHES people who try and tackle him.

Loving our backfield.

Helu has excellent vision, Hightower may not be getting the lanes early, but he makes great blocks and is a very heads up player. Recovered a fumble today, and made a nice run down tackle on Laurinitis on a huge turnover.

Very high motor guy. He finishes very nicely.

There are so many reasons to be happy... here are a few...

Skins won.... :)

Skins are 3-1 and at worst tied for the lead in the NFCE :)

Cowboys are 2-2 and lost to the Lions after leading 27-3 at HOME today. :)

The "dream team" is 1-3 and lost to the Niners at HOME today :)

Hainsworth was not playing for a team other than the Redskins today :)

McNabb lost again and is 0-4 :)

Skins won :)

Im about to cook and eat some Tri-tip :)

We are a mere 2-pt loss away from being undefeated...

We're relatively heathy...

Kerrigan looks ridiculously good...

Helu looks damn promising as well...And Neild is definitely a keeper...

Gaffney is proving to be a great pick up so far...

We have three RBs who can pick up yards and score TDs...one of them is bound to be hot each week...

Rocky McIntosh is looking VERY much improved...

In fact, the entire LB unit is looking improved...no longer have to rely on Fletcher making all the tackles and Orakpo getting holding calls...

Moss is still Moss, hasn't lost much on his game, if at all...

Cofield and Bowen are earning their FA paychecks, and then some...

We will get even better in the secondary because Buchanon returns tomorrow...

Since Landry's return, the Skins haven't given up a pass play of over 30 yards...

This team is apparently good enough to overcome those "Bad Rex" games...

Even in his "Bad Rex" games, Grossman makes some truly great throws and impressive TD passes...

We have 8 draft picks in 2012...Imagine how good this team will be next year, and the year after that...

BEST. THREAD. EVER

Thank you....as a life long FAN (which is debateable on this site) I am so proud today. We won on the road, our D is straight nasty, we have THREE good Running Backs, and have a head coach who is actually a coach (no Zorn, Spurrier, or Norv)

Be happy today fans. enjoy the Bye week, and get ready for Philly, becasue PAYBACK time

I was saying in the chat that what I liked about him last year was that he always seems to get at least 2 yards. (Even if he gets hit in the backfield.)

That was what I liked about Rock Cartwright, too.

We have 8 draft picks in 2012...Imagine how good this team will be next year, and the year after that...

I'm thinking we pick a QB, and 7 "pick for depth" picks. Which is a really nice position to be in, especially for this team.

----------

But, frankly, I have a problem with the people calling this an "ugly win".

Granted, I couldn't see the game. Just listened to the audio stream, and chatted with ES. But the impression I have is that this was the most dominating performance from this team in like 5 years. I'm not upset about this game at all.

Bang (as usual) stole most of the things I was going to point out.

Our third string RB ran for over 100 yards and a TD.

Our D has given up one TD in the last two games.

We won that game so handily that the Rams fans left their own stadium at halftime. I heard "Cooley" from the crowd when he got the ball.

(And, on that subject, I seem to be pretty satisfied with our new FB, Cooley, too.) :)

We had a dominating win. (Although not so perfect that the coaches won't have anything to talk about for the next two weeks.)

IMO, 60 minutes beating up on a punching bag, and then two weeks off to rest our injuries, is exactly what this team needed.

----------

Oh, and:

Skins 3-1

Giants 2-1 (and losing to Az. And we have the tie breaker against them, because we beat them.)

Dallas 2-2

Philly 1-3

Edit:

****

Giants TD. With the PAT, they'll be up by 4, with about 3:00 left.

i don't care how we looked as long as we got the W, which we did. however, i would invite you to go watch the game when you get a chance. it is a great defensive game for sure, but the offense in the second half was stagnant, predictable, conservative, and reckless. far from dominating.

it doesn't matter anymore. now it's just a learning experience and a win.
