Predicto
I wonder if that bill has any real chance of passing or if it is just a foolish bill by extreme members of the Knesset. Honestly, the whole reasoning behind that bill was ridiculously stupid. Essentially, that guy is arguing that because the Palestinians are pushing for statehood, they are actively trying to destroy the peace process, so that means that Israel should just take over all of Palestine. Ignoring the fact that no one has given a reason why Palestinian observer status in the UN is "destroying" the peace process, the logical idiocy of his response is almost insane. As if it weren't dickish enough: "Meanwhile, a letter signed by the leaders of four ruling coalition factions -- Likud Party chairman Ze'ev Elkin, Shas chairman Avraham Michaeli, Habayit Hayehudi chairman Uri Orbach, and National Union leader Yaakov Katz -- asks Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to annex Jewish-settled areas of the West Bank and calls for increased construction in those areas." Basically, Israel and the Palestinians have been arguing over how to split a pizza for two decades, while Israel keeps eating more of the pizza as fast as it can, while also accusing the Palestinians of trying to destroy the peace process. And people on this board wonder why some of us aren't 100 percent in Israel's corner at all times.
