Destino
What the hell is wrong with people in this town? I'm listening to this postgame show on the official Redskins Radio show and the callers and host have lost their damn minds. Some callers are saying "Rex didn't lose the game for us, that's good enough" and the host is saying "it wasn't perfect and he looked very inaccurate at times" and "Rex played OK" OK?! Didn't lose the game?! Rex Grossman 21/34 (61.7%) 305yards 2TD 0Int 110.5Rating If that's OK what on this planet is good? What is great?!
Springfield
Well, I mean it wasn't John Beck throwing the ball out there so what do you expect?

Gibbs Hog Heaven
And he did it all in the face of some serious pressure from a still pretty darn inconsistent line. He was far from perfect, but to say he didn't have a real good game is just being churlish. Some folk just like to moan I guess. Hail.
Brandon Lloyd Christmas
grossman played very well. aside from the fumble and a few high throws he was very good. stretched the field, made big completions, 2 TDs no INTs, not much more you can ask for out of rex grossman. whether he can sustain this is what im interested in. emor09
he woulda been even better if his WR's made some grabs
DC_BearsFan
Exactly get used to it, RG has a funny name and people who havn't watched him play (other than the SB, and the Arizona game) have already made their mind up. Thank god for ppl like the Shanahans who are willing to ignore the Grossman media hate.
Skins_Fan82
Funny. Cuz if Tony <staff edit to comply with forum rules> puts up those exact same numbers tonight, the media would be all over his <staff edit to comply with forum rules>... ncsuFB27
He played well enough to beat a team that has owned us for the past 3 seasons...I'll take it
Conn
Imagine how his stat-line would have looked if Armstrong had brought in those two big catches? Especially the 2nd one down the field.
big#44
his stats looked good, but there were a couple of head scratching throws. the one that was nearly picked could have very well turned the game around to a different outcome.
TE#80
As an elaboration to the "Haters gotta Hate" post lol. These are Redskins fans after all. We have all been burned by the cruelness of hope time after time. You can't blame people for tempering their enthusiasm.
Atlanta Skins Fan
Well, I mean it wasn't John Beck throwing the ball out there so what do you expect? Beck throws 6 TDs in this game easy. He fits the scheme better than Grossman. We know who Grossman is. Beck's upside is Steve Young.
Conn
Funny. Cuz if Tony **** puts up those exact same numbers tonight, the media would be all over his<staff edit to comply with forum rules>.. Watch it with that stuff. Definitely frowned on by the mods. Just a heads up.
Commander PK
People are going to be very reluctant to give the guy any credit. It is what it is, but I hope he continues exceeding their expectations.
kingofdaroad99
He was inaccurate at times, and he did take bad sacks. But he won and we looked good and theres still room to improve. zoony
Our fanbase is largely dumb If people would just forget what they think they know about Rex Grossman and just judge his play on the field. But that won't happen... we'll continue to hear the "**** it I'm going deep" garbage. Rex on Football Night In America... "I've got a lot of haters". Yes, you do Rex. Keep putting up those numbers, make the haters look dumb.

StillUnknown
Some people refuse to accept that Rex might be better than what he showed in Chicago and they fight against any evidence that may suggest otherwise. Grossman is scarred for life in some eyes.
NoVaSkins21
he woulda been even better if his WR's made some grabs That's for sure. Those drops were just terrible. I will say that the fumble and sacks were probably something that didn't help his case. Grossman was a pretty efficient IMO and he can be consistent in the Shanahans offense. skinsfanno9
I like Beck's upside better still, but Rex did just fine. No horrid critical errors in key times. He really helped his team win in a day where the running game was virtually non-existent.
E-Dog Night
Probably talking about the high passes - and there were several - but yeah, taken as a whole, if our quarterback plays like that every week, giddy the **** up.
Thirtyfive2seven
Beck throws 6 TDs in this game easy. He fits the scheme better than Grossman. We know who Grossman is. Beck's upside is Steve Young. Dude, seriously? The coaching staff knows more than you. I'd say we can both agree on that right? That said, they named Grossman the starter and were rewarded with a great performance. Leave it at that.
NoCalMike
I don't think there is anything wrong with the observation that Rex had a good game, but also showed in numerous spots why he is known as "Good Rex/Bad Rex" There were a few times there was no excuse for taking sacks. Also, he did throw a couple passes to WRs that were covered like blankets, and both could have been picked off. With that said, he still did a lot of good things too.
