Is Anyone Way Too Excited for this Game?

You can never be TOO excited for the season opener.

you can if you have the wrong expectations

The higher you go the further you can fall

"See to live is to suffer but to survive

Well that's to find meaning in the suffering."

I'm excited about this game too but several things bother me

Like our line protection against the Giants pass rush

And Rex Grossman's propensity to turn the ball over

And our suspect pass defense against a trio of bad ass wide outs

But even with that said I do believe we will pull out this one in a close game

Last years 3 point loss was caused because of Gano's miss

Hopefully he makes it this time

Hell yes, but I do this every year and this IS the year that the team does NOT rip my heart out...(at least yet)

Yeah me too. Football season is great. And there's never a better time to be a Skins fan than a few days before we get slaughtered on opening day (usually by the Giants).

This year, with different expectations and a real rebuild in place, the feeling is a bit different. Cause I know I won't be completely gutted if we get mauled be the G-men this time around.

Every year I have trouble sleeping the Saturday night before Sunday kickoff (with the exception in seasons Skins start on Thursday/Monday).

I am super-jacked right now.

Tomorrow there is a Big boxing match on, and then Strikeforce HW tourney semi-finals. Those will help me get from the afternoon into the night, but once those events are over, I am going to be on pins and needles, tossing and turning in bed......

REDSKINS FOOTBALL IS BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!

Im really excited for the start of the regular season... finally!!!!!!

Im in the camp of "I dont care if the Giants are at full strength or not, I just want to romp them and make them 0-1"

We have played them before when we wernt at full strength, it doesn'tbother me in the slightest if they are all banged up already.

I cant wait for all the pagentry of the first game. Colin Powell as a capt, the jets flying over, the fireworks, the pre-game, the post game, all of the first week of football is magic for me!

I also like the feeling of not knowing how good any teams are just yet. All the players on the Fantasy waiver wire or on your bench that have the potential to be great.

Ahhhhh, I love the smell of Napalm in the morning!

I'm not sure I've EVER been this excited for a season to kick off. The positivity in the air, the Shanaplan coming together, and being jersey'ed up by 9 am tomorrow to be on a plane to the east coast in time to be @ the gates by 8am. Pre-tailgate, real tailgate & 26 rows back on the 10 yard line???!? My head may explode....

I'm so excited, my heart has already exploded. Which sucks, but I work at a car dealership, so I ran to the back real quick and had one of the mechanics build me a single-cylinder ticker that should carry me through Sunday. I'm drinking 5w30 to prevent my body from rejecting its new "engine."

I purposely did not have the guys build me a muffler. I want Eli to hear to me personally!!!

HTTR!!!!!

When the Packers ran out onto the field last night the hairs on the back of my neck began to stand up.

When that awesome flag mosaic that waved the whole bowl of Lambeau was going on through the National anthem my heart was racing.

When John Carney put his leg through the opening KO, I was fair whooping at the lappi screen.

And THAT was for the league opener between two teams I have zero allegiance to.

What do you think I'm feeling building upto the opener of my OWN team? I'm expecting a defeat, but the excitements fast building for Sunday regardless.

Hail.
