Guest Spearfeather
From Fredricksburg.com UPDATED (6:17 p.m.): Torain left the afternoon walkthrough at Redskins Park with his left hand bandaged to the mid-forearm. He declined comment on the wrist when approached, though the Washington Post and Washington Times are reporting Torain will see a hand specialist Wednesday evening and could miss up to two weeks. Torain collided with a teammate and hit the hand on a helmet and was tended to by athletic trainers.
styx491
Well at least this gives us more space to look at the rookies and Hightower. We know what Torain can do already, and two weeks isn't enough time for him to lose the #1 position on the depth chart. If he keeps getting injured however, he will definitely lose that spot. It's nice to know we have some young backs and an established running back already if he goes down.
NewEraofSkins08
Is it HAY-loo or Hee-Loo pronounciation? Because man am I gonna get get used to sayin' that name on game days! Oh and for fantasy leagues, I definitely think Helu is the guy to get if you want a 'Skin RB.
Guest Spearfeather
Torrain will be sorry this season, why you ask? He's the starter and we all know how fans here does the starting tailback in Dc. After a few bad games fans will start to question Torrian average talent skill. With that said every single good Hightower run willl be this great praise of "he's the next one" smh every year it's the same crap This is 100% truth, and those " bad games " will not even have to be that bad. Just let him average only 4.2 ypc and only have two TD's in the first four games, and there will be people calling for his head, and anointing Helu our starter at Running Back for the next five years

kubstix
Did anyone really expect him to make it through preseason at least without getting banged up? I love the hightower trade. He has the experience to step in when Torain is out and take the rock. I like what I'm hearing good things about Helu to on the twitter post. SWFLSkins
This guy can get hurt eating lunch. smh And you could hurt a guy with your sig, I almost sprained my wrist closing the window as my kids were walking in the room, good thing that is how I hurt my wrist huh? This is good and bad though, We know what we got with Torain, now we get to see some others, however him being hurt is never good as much as it has happened in the past. Fetus
The plan for Helu to start week 1 is already in full effect..... muahahahahaha Sucks that Torain is hurting already, seems like anytime someone gets hurt in our training camp, it ruins their whole season
jflow78
That kind of sucks. I like Torain a lot, like the way he runs hard and through people, but people think Malcolm Kelly has injury issues? Hopefully he gets better faster, because I have the feeling that if it takes 2+ weeks, he's gone. Especially if Hightower looks like we expect, Helu keeps looking like a big time HR threat, and if either Shaun Draughn keeps looking good or Royster can prove he belongs (though I have yet to hear anything about him). skinsfan07
Damn that sucks for Torain. But we know what we have in Torain so it's not that bad. I want to see more of Helu and Royster anyways. Exactly. I can't wait to see what they bring to the table come preseason. Hope they impress as much as we expect them too. Both could be stand out RB's for us. Guest Spearfeather
I'd love to see Torain and Helu splitting time on first and second downs, with Hightower coming in more on third and longs.
Wyvern
Starting to look like 'running back by committee' -- except maybe this time its a 4-headed monster. I'm hoping that Kyle Shanahan properly leverages the variety and depth he seems to have at running back.

Conn
HA and it starts already! Torain did well making it through contact at the line last year, but he's not a very talented runner. He's just a guy. A guy better than anyone else we had LAST year, but still just a guy. And a very injury-prone one at that. If you disagree, then it's just a difference in opinion. but you don't need to say "HA!" as if you're some all-knowing observer. From what I've seen, Torain is nothing special as a runner. GO HAMSKINS
Yes ,me know this mon. Never been a fan of Torrain I just scratch my head at Es Fans who continue to contradict themselves year after year, game after game. FYI Portis has always been a better Rb than Torrian, and any other back on our roster just saying ha!

If you agree, then why did you say believing there's someone better than Torain on the roster would be the "same old crap"?
GO HAMSKINS
I agree that Torrian is not that good of a RB as I stated in my first post. I will reiterate, fans will see that Torrian is just an average talent now that he has became the starter. My point is this fans in Dc will always hype up,overate,or whatever you call it,the 2nd string back in DC. glad we got that all cleared up. duces
Duckus
This is why I liked the Hightower trade. I love ATV but he is injury prone. We need depth at RB.

mi6
If Torrain can't stay healthy, he isn't going to be on the roster. And, keeping his injury prone career, I would like to see us get Bradshaw. He, Hightower anf Helu would make a good 1-2-3 punch! We just don't have the luxury of keeping injured players on a 53 man roster.
